I like the lineup, but to say "we just have to make 2 buys" makes it sound so simple when the the fact is that Mata and Banega could potentially cost as much as 40 million

Those two are older and werent academy graduates like Martins, its all about the academies now with FFP. Bringing back Martins would send a good messege to our youth, and being back on a competant team his abilities may be exploited to their upmost potential once again. Just because hes faded out of the limelight doesnt mean he has nothing to offer, he went to england where newcastles offense was effective but the rest of the team wasnt and were relegated, he went to Wolfsburg where Grafite & Dzeko where bundasliga top golascorers and therefore didn't have a place for him in the first team, and now in Russia where despite his skill his teammates may not have the skill to take advantage of the space he creates.

Good scouting is about spotting talents based on their individual skill and what they can bring to the table and not just their performance stats which dont always tell the whole truth. Gasperini wants to play a 3-4-3 and we could use a fast talented winger, Picking Martins up cheap is a solid investment in my eyes.

Agree but to get a good forward we need to spend big, witch is unlikely to happen...i mean all winger/strikers we want are like 35m+ ... G.Bale,Juan Mata,C.Tevez for example...what ever happened to our interest in Robin van Persie? If he stays away from injuries he is one of the best forwards out there and he is not that overprice... i recon we could get him for around 25m (or add Thiago Motta or E.Viviano to get him for like 15m + one of them, cuz Arsenal have been linked with em...)
