I think some of you guys are underrating Motta tbh...he was a beast for Gasp in Genoa, I'm sure he would do better than someone like Gago in our 343.

Not underrating, but very injury prone. You cant count on him to start 10-15 games in a row as opposed to Eto, Cuchu, Maicon, Lucio etc..

Motta would probably be a sure starter for Gasp if he was 1) Consistently healthy 2) Wasn't a liability in terms of fouls. He got a red in a friendly for christ sake... Even with Gasp he only started 25 times, accumulating 9 yellows and 1 red, which was against Samp if I remember correctly.

I think Gago and Motta are comparable. Gago is a bit more reliable and a better defender, where Motta is better going forward. I think the two of them paired in a 3-4-3 could be successful in the Coppa or against weaker opposition.
