I get that people aim for a more grounded perspective, especially with a young talent like Bisseck who hasn't seen much playtime yet. However, his performance tonight was truly remarkable.

He actively contributed to all aspects of our game, playing a significant role in most of our attacks. His involvement wasn't superficial; he genuinely impacted the game.

Additionally, he displayed impressive composure. I mean, he even pulled off a nutmeg! And he's a 2-meter-tall central back... :D

I'm not suggesting that this one performance guarantees he'll become a great player for us, but tonight, he was nothing short of amazing.

Agreed. People say he is still raw.. he might be, but not tonight. If anything he played as if he was starting for us regularly.

Most of where he lacks is reading of the game and concentration. A few years in the Italian school of defending should help that. Before inter he has only featured at the professional level consistently for Aarhus ffs. I think it would be better for him and us if he goes out on loan to a serie a club who wants to play him next season. I’m glad he’s getting the chance to show his quality with our injury crisis at the back though.

Correct. I still feel like he needs a year or two to develop his awareness. Sometimes when the game moves fast he doesn’t always sense the danger building quite the same way our more experienced CBs do. I just fear that he won’t get enough time here to really develop the way he needs to. A loan to a solid Serie A team like Torino would be a great option. Maybe we can work something out if we end up going after Buongiorno.

However, athletically and technically this guy is ready. Finding a 196cm CB with soft feet, speed, strength, the ability to dribble, and the vision to see passing lanes is super fucking rare. He’s a unicorn. Props to the scouts.

So happy with him. Like already said, he has so many of the traits of a modern defender already - good with the ball, has speed, knows how to exchange passes, etc. He looks to me like a defender more comfortable playing/defending higher up the pitch.

Where I think he needs to work on is defending in the box. The good thing is we have players like Acerbi here that he can learn from.

Torino would be great for him imo. Juric has improved a lot of central defenders.

Pavard - Acerbi - Bastoni with Darmian - De Vrij - Augusto on the bench... Those are two very very impressive defensive lines,, if we can now consider letting Darmian play as RWB and use Bisseck a little more often, the depth is nuts. Compare that to Milan who is having to field that Hernandez moron as a CB, making Lookman look like Eto'o.

Bisseck needs some fine tuning, through some more game time and playing with the majority of starters. Encouraging signs, enough to put some rumors to rest about sending him out on loan and wasting money buying a replacement.

Very promising performance. Granted Udinese didn’t much going forward but Bisseck looked composed and playing like he belongs out there. Our defensive depth is actually kinda insane with how everyone has been performing so far this season. Kudos to the scouting and coaching staff.

I can see the thinking behind wanting him loaned but we will need him if we play on 3 boards. Like, imagine if we loaned him at the start of the season, with Pavard, Dumfries and De Vrij out, we would have been quite in deep shit.

He's a solid option for RCB, for Coppa games, Serie A teams where we need our starters to breathe, to compense injuries.

He has playing time so he will improve.

For home games against average opponents he should go before than De Vrij in the rotation.
Acerbi/De Vrij, only one should play the middle cb.
Give this young dude a chance.

He has it all to be a dominant defender, also him and Darmian changed positions two or three times, so maybe he could also be tried as a wingback?

What I don't understand if we have Pavard, Darmian and Bisseck, why are we looking into Djalo? Why not bring a LCB or a LWB sub into the squad? I know it's good to use your 'free' opportunities, but this is a bit much.

Like it was said, in some things he is still raw, like anticipation and reading the game, but luckily those are things that get ironed out through the years. Seeing how his biggest mistake isn't even close to Bastoni's or Acerbi's biggest mistakes of this season, we might really have a gem here.

The whole team played with determination against Udinese. It's like they didn't want to be humbled by them again, like last season.

cuz Pavard De Vrij Bastoni Acerbi Bisseck and (Darmian/Augusto) isnt enough, tbh. Esp when De Vrij and Acerbi could be retired soon.

We need to keep rejuvenating. Every year, you want to replace 1-2 first team players with a young developing player imho.

It may be that we'd like to transition Bisseck to CB, or Pavard to CB for example.

What about Djalo, could he be a CB?

I do understand that we need to rejuvenate the team, I screamed about that since summer of 2010 :). I just hope we are also trying to address the LCB/LWB issue. Currently we use 5 players there, Darmian mostly plays on the right and he'll continue to play there, while Acerbi shouldn't be deployed anywhere else but at the centerback position.

So what we really have is 3 very good options for 2 positions. It would calm my spirits if we got another veteran there that wouldn't mind sharing minutes. Obviously my first idea is Biraghi, but he is Fiorentina's captain and has his contract until 2025, so that's a bit hard to get.

What do you guys feel who would slot nicely into our squad?

Yes i think Djalo comes to be pure CB. De Vrij will probably be gone soon.

LCB/LWB is ok with Bastoni/Darmian and Dimarco/Carlos.

In the other end Dumfries/Buchanan and Pavard/Bissek look good. While Djalo/Acerbi for middle CB 😎😎😎😎
