Am I the only one who hates the yellow card rule? 2 yellow cards in 4 games gets you banned. I think fans would prefer to see full strength teams battle it out. I know I would, especially in knockout games.

It's pure idiocy. Keeping Casemiro out was a prime example. Do 2-3 yellow cards in a row or something.

It's bad enough someone like Cavani stays out due to injury. There's nothing you can do about that. But this is completely preventable.

The only new rule I fully supported is the fourth subtitute on extra time. Thats much better than push player into their limit, that extra subs gives the team more room to breathe.

imho, if you get 4 yellow cards, you deserve to skip a game. it's also a way to prevent the defenders from being too aggressive.

Brazil getting knocked out yesterday means I've won my world cup pool already. Had Belgium beating them and basically no one else did.

Nope, family is 100% Italian, I just chose to adopt Belgium as my country of choice for the WC

Belgium is IMO the only team that have been impressive in this tournament.

How? By almost losing to Japan? The only reason Belgium is in the semis, is b/c Brazil decided to shoot themselves in the foot.

The Top 2 favourites were always Brazil and France, but all it took for Brazil to go out was Casemiro being suspended, and bottling 20 chances.

Talking about Belgium as impressive. Weirdly enough I will remember this tournament from what I saw from Peru as their games were entertaining but sadly they missed almost all their scoring opportunities. They deserved to go through to the knockouts but sadly didn't. I'm sure they would have been into the semis if they had qualified instead of Denmark which they deserved to.

As someone already posted I'm rooting strongly for ABE - Anyone but England. Croatia and Belgium are very likable teams, France has some amazing talent, whereas England is pretty meh since I don't follow the EPL.

Plus just fucking imagine the English if they win it for the first time, as the 1966 WC was a farce. Shivers.

No real football fan can really support England. It's a paradox.
The English are of course excluded, though I know a few that don't like or want their NT to succeed for the very same reasons a normal football fan wouldn't.
