video games, songs, movies, later on from 5th to 8th grade had the most awesome english teacher... hmmm more songs, then the books came, comic books, tv shows, movies without subs (probably best teacher ever), in high school spend a year in US as an exchange student, then college, also went to US 3 times as part of work and travel, then idk... by that time my english pretty much was top notch (i know, i got sick rhymes bro), id say nowadays work, but the english i use for work is a broken one otherwise the other party wont understand me (egyptians, bulgarians, russians, romanians).

I'm so jealous most of you guys have learnt english and can speak multiple languages. We are too lazy over here to learn more than one language. Most of you guys you wouldn't even notice English isn't your first language, you's write better than half the people I went to school with.

Believe me, if half the world spoke Bulgarian freely I wouldn't bother learning any other language.

Here's a sub-topic - what other languages than your native one and English d'you guys know?

I had French and Russian in Elementary School for 7 years. German for two years in High School, although I can't remember zilch f. Aaaand if I wasn't so lazy I'd learn Spanish or Portuguese, Armenian and Italian.

I'd also love to know Japanese, but that's in the realm of fantasy.

I'm already fluent in Arabic and English (country's educational system since kindergarten), but I want to reach the same level in Italian. I've been studying it for like 13 years but still can't achieve that due to lack of daily interaction with Italian speakers.
