Mancini said Adriano won't be in the match squad, because the brazilian isn't fit enough. Too bad. Recoba is then probably making it to the bench.

Oh my were on the verge of our biggest game this season.
Now is the time to show the true Neruzzuri spirit!

I'm expecting a MASSIVE game from our man Ibra!
Stanko and Maicon are gonna be so crucial for us. Lets hope we can show Valencia what the `17consequative won matches` inter is all about.

FORZA INTER!

Wow, Adri is out.

I hope it is because he's still injured from the knock/sprain he received in the Udinese match, and not because another one of his antics.

I don't think it will matter much though. Crespo has scored twice as much as Adriano and Cruz three more than him.

Adriano's career is gone if Inter lose this match, he can't be blamed for Inter going out if they do, but the Champions League was the place for him to prove that he has a career left @ Inter and for him not to even feature in the matches signals goneism (yes this is a made up word but i like it so :boxing: )

also i dont want burdisso should not play at left back, by playing a burdisso or non natural left back there Miguel will have a day off and destroy us, we need a attacking left back to put pressure on Miguel not to attack and be wary. Grosso must play, this is ****ing Fabio Grosso, the best player at the World Cup.

I agree, no Nico as a fullback. This isn't the time to be a bunch of pvssies. Mancini needs to go all out.

Oy. I'm so nervous.

Let's repeat our performance in Super Coppa, it's that game that demonstrated our determination. The team has to bring such determination into the game, and Mancini has to use our best possible formation, that means all our players have to be in a position they are used to, and all fielded players have to be the ones on top form.

It's a pity Adriano isn't here for this game.

The absence of Adriano really wouldn't matter much in this game as there are other in-form strikers than him in Crespo/Cruz (may be) who would score from the limited number of chances, which is very important in this game.:)

I still do think that we should play with Grosso in the left back and Maxwell in the left mid, IF Figo is not to start the game. Then agian, I do think that Figo will start this match and be it for good.;)

My preference: D->B->A

D) -----Crespo----Ibrahimovic----
B) -------Stankovic---------
-Maxwell-Dacourt-Zanetti--

A) --Maicon--Cordoba--Materazzi--Burdisso--

On strikers:
Crespo has sufficient rest so he should be a starter. Actually, Cruz has a bigger effect when he comes on as a sub then Arma Letale. Ibra is of no doubt our playmaker. I just hope he won't get injured.

On midfielders:
Maxwell has proved himself capable of handling the left flank on his own, since he can then have a lighter burden on defending. Deki, obviously, plays better as an AMC. By the time we desperately need a goal, we can sub Figo with Maxwell and drag Deki backward in the midfield. Also, we still need Dacourt in the midfield, though he will easily concede some silly fouls. But his courageous style of tackle is what we need in an away environment. Let's hope Capitano can have some great runs as usual.

On defenders:
The reason that I drop Grosso is not that I don't trust him. Actually he plays quite well in big matches. But all you guys know Cafe is not a very reliable player this season. I need Nico, whose positioning is pefect, to cover Cafe or Matrix's faults. I believe that Valencia will not give away their possesion easily at home. So freekicks, regardless of direct or indirect ones, will be our key to score there. Just in case if we need a more offensive formation in the second half, put Grosso in. That's the best solution.

Strikers: D
As you can see, Ibra did a good job in last match against Livorno, I think he can sustain his strength to against Valencia.

Midfielders: B
Maxwell can contribute more of his effort in attacking.

Defenders: A
With Maxwell on the left side, Burdisso defends in that position to co-operate with him. That means, when Maxwell is going forward, Burdisso is here to fill that area. Meanwhile, the two DC (Matrix and Cordoba) can shift a bit to balance the defending area.

What worries me is that, Ibrahimovic has not scored in a CL match since God knows when. He didn't last season with Juve, and he has not this season with us. :|

Han, he scored three last season.

He's been searching for his form pretty much all of last year. He's lost a lot of the weight and it has helped him. This last month I think he's found it and has started to really shine again. I mean, look at the Zlatan at the beginning of the season and compare him with the Zlatan today. It's like two different players.
The most important thing is that he puts on a good performance and the team wins. It doesn't really matter if he scores, even though I'd like that.;)

Maicon, Stankovic and Ibra has to be razor sharp. If they are the rest just have to be stable and Inter should win.
