Tell me, what exactly did Iaquinta do that made him 'totally outclass' Zlatan? The way I saw it, Matrix COMPLETELY owned Iaquinta. Di Natale, on the other hand, was pure class.

I guess this refers to my post..Iaquinta wasn't good either, but considering his attacking actions he did much better than Zlatan..Dribbling, running, passing, holding the ball, just name it..And by the way, Zapata owned both Crespo and Zlatan..

I hope Palermo can draw or win tonight, our main rival is Milan (or Roma), not Palermo.

I agree. Palermo won't win the Scudetto. Who cares about the ranking at end of this week. I don't mind letting Palermo sit at the top of the table, if this means Milan dropping points.

I haven't watched the match (since no streams are working), but I'm glad to see that many of you say Udinese played well (instead of we sucked). I guess if we can continue to keep clean sheets, we can start winning.

I so amzed with our fans reaction after each game we play. I Think Inter didn't play a bad game at Udine and could've almost ended winning the match. Just a reminder to those people who complain after each game that Serie A is no SUNDAY LEAGUE by any chance!!!

There are so many whiners come here complaining about Inter playing badly; I'd say to those people that Inter brought so many new players and those players need time to gel as a team. Nevertheless, we're at the top of Serie A and we did very well against the division top teams when we played them AWAY from home.

Yes, maybe our squad is start studded, but we're still not at "TEAM" by any chance. Yesterday we played a team that hasn't conceded a home goal in the league since April, a team which is 3 points behind us in the standings and played them away.

People must realize that in the sometimes you win, sometimes you draw and may even lose, but what matters the most is where you lay in the table.

I thought Inter did enough in the second half to win this game. Udinese really only had two chances which could have resulted in a goal but on the balance I think Inter were better overall. Both Figo and Zlatan could have sealed the game which chances in the box. Also Stankovic who has begun to take pot shots from outside the box is a good thing but he needs to work the keeper in those situations cause any rebound coughed up is going to be gobbled up by Crespo.

One thing that the commentators said in this game really struck a chord with me. According to the official stats there have been 135 odd more yellow cards and 15 more red cards compared to the first six games of last season. That is an absolutely massive difference. The rule changes have been severe and referees are cracking down on almost every infraction; it is up to all the players to adjust their game to this change.

this was an important game as we could of take the advantage of Roma and Milan as they drew and lost but it is difficult to beat Udinese at home, so a draw is a pretty good result. Im just happy that Milan lost 2nil!!!!

Udinese in Friuli is no push-over indeed but if we want to be the Champion in Serie A, we must stop having this mentality of trying to reason ourselves out of matches that we are unable to win.

"Udinese is too strong." "We are not a team yet."

I am not saying that the reasons are wrong, but I think we have to have the winning mentality where, even though the odds are stacked against us, we still have to expect the best.

However, the border between this kind of mentality and the mentality of an over-confident or arrogant is indeed very thin. We have to make sure that we keep ourselves in check.

I guess, I should end my post by saying that, if hypothetically Juve is in Serie A right now, I am sure that they would be ahead of us right now while we are trying to find excuses on our failure to win in Friuli.

Thankfully, they are not and our rival teams faltered alongside us.

As much as I hated the result, I thought Inter played a good game, and the defence looked as great as it was last season.

Dacourt and Vieira ruled the midfield, Ibra played like crap but De Santis officialy proved to me that he's the best goalkeeper in Serie A.

Figo was one of the best players on the pitch (finally), but he could do better in some counter attacks.

I believe some here are overcritical of Ibrahimovic. IMHO he was excellent in the second half. Held the ball up very well and hit the target with his chances. Morgan was just in great form.

For me Figo is way more too blame since he wasted time with his shots and they got blocked. In those situations you have to make the goalkeeper make a save.

My ratings:

J.Cesar 6

JZ 7
Cordoba 7
Matrix 7,5
Grosso 6
Stankovic 6,5
Dacourt 6
Viera 6
Figo 6,5
Crespo 6
Ibra 7

Cruz 6
Maicon 6
Recoba not enough time

And why did mancini not bring on solari instead of maicon?? That would have made more sense.

Still a draw in udeni isn't a bad result.

Anyone else than me who got really frustrated with Figo's game? He was incredibly slow with the ball and instead of doing something with it, he kept hogging it and doing his silly step overs. Of course he had some good moves too, but I got really pissed off at numerous occassions with how he slowed our team down.

Not to mention the last minute free-kick we had, where he wasted one minute of the overtime and disrupting Recoba's concentration.

Good game defensively though, and like previous encounters it was Cordoba who marked Iaquinta. I don't know why people before and after the game talked about a Materazzi-Iaquinta duel.

yeah I do agree with you, thats why I said he could do better in some counter attacks.

Mancini mentioned that the team was too slow in the first half, but I don't know why he didn't sub Figo, he was the slowest one.

Too bad Mariano Gonzales didn't do well so far. He's very good with counter attacks.

It's been like this for the whole start of the season. I'm not even surprised, frustrated absolutely. Every time I watch Figo. He slows our attacks too much. He really did couple of nice moves where he created a chance for himself, but screwed them all with lousy decisions (poor shots, collisions, not passing).

sorry to sound like a broken record, but seriously....Santiago farking Solari? where the fark was he?
he plays good matches and is nowhere to be seen in the next two matches, this is getting beyond a joke.

Figo does not have the legs anymore, he is very predictable, he should be used as an impact player! and ffs can someone tell him to stop diving.

What are u guys talking about? Figo sells more shirts than Solari, this has been always like this, even if Solari is better player right now (and for me, also last year) he should always play.

I think Solari didn't play simply because Mancini has decided on a 'rota system' to overcome this 4-games-in-10-days madness. I expect 90 minutes of your precious "Santigol" against Livorno :)

Oh I can't deci
Well, everything has been pretty much said.

Just a couple points I noticed after watching the match:

*If Figo starts, there should be a mandatory substitution for him no later than the 60th minute. The guy was like dead man walking by the end. fEGO is sure living up to his name, he would rather take a difficult shot than make an easy pass. Its like he is trying to prove to himself that he still has it.

*Ibra, someone please tell him to just pass the damn ball like a normal person instead of trying to do these stupid useless flicks!! His objective is to score and create goals, not trying to make it into the highlights reel. If I wanted to see that crap I would go watch some joga bonito commercials.

*Vieira, I thought he played fairly in the beginning. Good distribution of the ball, helped Dacourt control the mid. He was a bit lacking near the end, but thats understandable.

*Grosso, I dont think he played as bad as some people make it out.

The team did well overall, Im just pissed that we didnt put this game away. The amount of chances we had, we should have won 2 goals. Udinese had nothing, from the start they would have been happy with a nil-nil.
