Glad to finally have someone in the squad who can dribble the ball.

As long as he performs as good as Bisseck and Carlos Augusto, I think we are good. If he is worse, then I don't know why Lazaro didn't get a chance

Im glad after my visit to the San Siro in October that I was able to sway management on signing this guy. They told me they didn’t have enough money for David or Davies, and though as a Canadian, and being the same age as Darmian and Mkhi, they are in much better shape than me!

If unlike Cuadrado he is able to stand on his feet (and not a d*ckhead) it's already an upgrade. I would have kept Bellanova for example so getting Buchanan looks like a good deal to me.
I hope he clicks with the rest of the team right from the start and Dumfries comes back in form.

Yes which is why people shouldn’t be expecting another Hakimi, like I’ve heard some people rumbling about. Hakimi was already a blossoming star and we paid the blossoming star price. Buchanan is more like a promising penny-stock bet.
He can be a lesser man’s Hakimi if he works hard and we’re patient with him. Like you said, his footballing knowledge is probably not as vast as someone like Hakimi who at a young age was in Real Madrid’s youth system and then played for big clubs in Germany, Italy and France.

For €7-8m and at his age, it’s worth a throw of the dice. If he turns out decent, he’ll literally have doubled his value. If not more. If he sucks, it’s just a small amount of money. Nothing for a club the size of Inter. Even as skint as we are.

Agreed. I don't have high expectations for Buchanan but for me it's positive they decided to take a punt on a unproven player from abroad with potential over someone like Mazzocchi for example.

These kind of deals have the potential for plusvalenza gains. If these players like Buchanan or Bisseck develops well, they can be sold later to EPL or other richer clubs.

I remember him in last WC when he played against my country. Assisted for goal and was, with Davies, the biggest threat. Lets make him a beast.

So Candreva's crossing was godlike compared to TJ's?
Candreva crosses were actually very good. The problem was that he is too dumb and selfish in decision making. So he did cross when he shouldn't i.e. there was nobody in the box to aim for.

While Buchanan does not have even one high cross successfully in his highlights. Not sure if the clip editor is lazy or...

Did you see his high cross in WC against Croatia?

It’s always wild to me to hear people talk about Crossing as being a flaw for players like Candreva and Dimarco. Like at least half the reason they even got to play for inter is that they’re good at crossing; it’s one of their core attributes— like obviously not every single one is going to connect, but it’s a bit foolish to highlight crossing as a weakness for these sort of players. Someone like Buchanan, on the other hand, is not being purchased for whipping the ball in the box. He doesn’t need to be a good speculative crosser; he just needs to beat his man and open space for a crucial pass or low-cross, an entirely different skill that Dimarco and Candreva don’t have.
