Nobody expects us to win CL.
There's a huge gap between round 16 and the trophy. Please don't play the bipolar game, moving straight from the highschool test to doctoral thesis, that's what
you are acting.
You don't care about Inter finance but we do. Each round more costs tens of millions.
Lol , inter accountants are browsing FIF these days

And I didn’t say others expected us to win, I’m talking about inter fans and people on this forum

The suicide hotline thread is active again, surely the members posting there had higher expectations than passing R16

We are going to suck in CL for the next 3 years, then in 2028 with Lautaro/Barella/Dimarco all being already 30, we will win the tripleta, then Dimone will go to Bayern Munchen and we will have a Banter era 2.0 with Nagatomo's son, which will finish on December of 2038.

Well, that Capitano till 2010 was losing wild in CL.
That Capitano didn't have Mourinho and a whole other bunch of players in their prime at all the other CL editions.

To win it, you need luck, but a mental strong team. We lack a mentally strong team at the moment

Anybody can give a quick breakdown amount we made it from Coppa, Supercoppa, Cl groups stages and 1/16 -1/8 finals?

I know Supercoppa amount was 12 mil.
we will make around 40M less from last year from the UCL, but the Fifa club cup will save us, as that pays around 50M.

So many excuses when Simone loses, but same people were bashing Conte when we had been KOed under even worse conditions. We had players like Borja, Vecino, Asamoah dude. We were missing key players during important fixtures due to the virus. Enough of these double standards.

Worse conditions? Conte was out at group stage while we spent money for him, huge difference.

It is disappointing to be out given our form this season, but shit happens. Simeone's Atletico used to win against elite teams like prime Farca, Bayern, Klopp's Liverpool, etc. so they were always a hard opponent to anyone. Time to move on, learn our lessons and try to improve.

We are still lacking a decisive factor like Milito in our treble season, who came out of nowhere and stepped up in crucial moments. Let's hope we will get lucky in the next summer market.

Conte never made it out of the group stage at Inter. Inzaghi has done it 3 years in a row now.

What? Conte had this starting line up when he crashed out in 2020/21

Handanović-Skriniar,DeVrij, Bastoni-Hakimi, Barella, Brozović, Eriksen, Perišić-Lautaro, Lukaku.

With these players he was last in the group with Real, Monchengladbach and Shaktar. Only one win. Embarrasing is understatement.

So if they lose to eventual winners, or if they reach the final, it won't be the same? What if they lose 3-0 to the eventual finalists but the game doesn't reflect that scoreline?

You realize that it sounds like you're just typing words for the sake of it?

It already is c'est la vie, we lost in a PK shootout to one of the top 5 teams in Champions League football in the last 10 seasons after dominating the first game like never seen been before by Atletico at that stage and losing an even match in the second leg. What does Atletico's progress have to do with anything? We're not even getting the same draw as them in the next round due to the TV market pooling and we don't match up the same with whatever opposition they get...

They're not a top 5 team. Not anymore. Last time they made it past quarterfinals was in 2017. That's 7 years ago.

Our team was still under development. The team didn't have enough CL experience. We didn't spend big money on the team, we spent what we earned from sales. Inzaghi on the other hand had a team with an experienced main core who has won the scudetto and reached EL final. He blew the scudetto in his first season, he lost 12 times in his second. His CL campaigne was full of luck and controversies. He had far easier groups, his playoffs were basically a Portuguese league + Milan. His real worth was proven against Atletico, so I'll just stop here. We will never win anything worthy with him. Scudetto of this season is like the scudetto of Napoli last season with competitors waving the white flag half season through. I am 100% certain, he wouldn't have won us the scudetto had we hired him instead of Conte back in 19/20

What was the scudetto of Conte then? The season was heavily affected by COVID-19. Jube had an amateur coach and they were in decline. Milan just appointed Pioli. Where was our real competition, because I cannot recognize it?

But that's not for another year. That's next summer, not this upcoming summer. The prize money for being in the CWC doesn't help our books for this season. So I'm not really sure where the value is in that for right now.

Last season we were in a group of death. Not sure how it is "far easier' than Conte's last position against Real, Monchengladbach and Shakhtar

So many excuses? You are making excuses for Conte's failure right now lol. You just can't stand that Inzaghi is successful.

Yea but they've knocked out Liverpool who was dominating EPL and won CL the previous year. I'm just saying that Atletico is no scrub, even Liverpool who was flushed with cash and had continuity for years lost against this team too.

They already did, just waiting for more failure to crawl out of their cave. Champions league was their last hope and it was granted.

Conte sucks at this there no explanation needed and that with big budget in comparison. Inzaghi done way more and that is on vertically no transfer budget. He looses out just barely to one of the best CL coaches out there, we are talking about a coach who has only lost 10% of all CL matches (at home) that is similar to that of City coach guardiola. People are over dramatising this defeat many have shared the same fate at the hand of simeone even teams that actually has a budget.
