Hopefully Croatia wins. England probably created less chances than any team in open play, they have very hard working team and rely on set pieces. Maguire is always a threat and Young, Trippier have taken some very good set pieces.

Kane winning golden boot should be enough reason to scrap the whole thing. 3 penalties and 1 deflection of his heel which he had no clue of.

Croatia have too much class in midfield, issue is they played 2 120 mins games while England had sort of easy game against Sweden.

Woul you really call this a Golden Generation? I sort of prefered the mid-late 90s team overall. The current midfield is amazing of course, but the rest of the team is rather underwhelming compared to the previous generation imo. At least you look like you can still produce more great talents in the future.

I think that this team is stronger then that from 90s, i feel we could have won something if we had a bit more luck, 2008 we won our group with 3 wins against Germany, Austria and Poland and then we lost against Turkey by late goal, but we were obviously better team that day, Rustu was amazing,and we were playing without our best player Eduardo da Silva whole championship coz that lumberjack Taylor broke his leg and ruined his career. In 2016 we played against Portugal and again lost by late goal and just seconds before that Vida hit the post, in 2012 we were in tough group and both our opponents played in finals of European championship we manage to pull a draw with Italy, and lost to Spain by late goal. This time lady luck smiled on us, we were in easier part of knockouts but still i think we deserve a bit luck after all those miserable years. I'm still happy with everything they did this year, but still hope they can do more.

I doubt it tbh... Belgium only had 3 shots on target in the entire game. France just defended really well. They knew how to beat Belgium - with the same tactic that Belgium used to save their asses in the 2nd half v Brasil.

And despite being the team hanging back & being on the counter, France had more than twice as many attempts (19 v 9) and also nearly twice as many on target (5 v 3). All this with much less possession (36% v 64%). Just scarily effective stuff man...
It may not look like it on the surface, but they rape their opponents. And once they push the throttle a little bit, they can move from their 16 to the other in seconds with lightning fast passing, which they've shown in flashes yesterday.

They're gonna win the final unfortunately, unless England/Croatia manage to beat them at their own game by being even better at that, like Portugal two years ago. But that's just not gonna be the case... Still, the ball is round, anything can happen, England/Croatia can win by parking the bus and receiving a penalty. Let's hope for it. After all, the epitome of arrogance really isn't England, it's France.
