I don't think he will start Gagliardini. Even Conte isn't so masochist to start the grinta trio for third consecutive match after the two previous disasters. I believe he will play it conservatively on the wings in order to contain Berardi and Boga.

Yeah I mentioned this in another thread that it's likely. It feels like he's going to try his 4-2-4 eventually even if there's no right winger. Hakimi could serve as such since he has both Darmian and D'Ambrosio to cover the right back slot.

But I'll be surprised if he's going to use that when he has Vidal, Barella and Gagliardini available.

I don't think Sensi will be starting many games so there's that.

It will be truly ironic if Conte does this as he'll have Eriksen, Nainggolan, Sensi, Gagliardini and one of Brozovic/Vidal/Barella on the bench, when in fact a manager of this team should be prioritizing to use at least 4 of these guys on the starting lineup when considering the depth in this position and also looking around for the lack of depth in other spots.

Conte is a fan of the two man midfield. He also used that at Chelsea and it was his standard formation with Bari iirc.

1. We are missing an obvious Danish playmaker on the formation, but we know Conte will choose a workhorse rather than an artist.
2. Young could be replaced with Bastoni if we are on defensive mode.
