Sneijder works hard. Disagree Cafe ?

I think Sneijder is more offensive player who is nowhere near the tenaciousness of Stankovic.

Absolutely agreed.

And where I implied Sneijder is as hardworking man as Stankovic is ? :)

Well, yeah, maybe you didn't. By saying Sneijder can do what Stankovic can, if you implied Sneijder can give long passes like Stankovic can, then okay. But he can't do the defensive work what Stankovic can, as I think that was the discussion there.

Sneijder can't do as much work Stankovic can. But the difference between him and Diego/VDV etc. is that Sneijder or Deco can do TO SOME EXTEND what Stankovic did, AND also give a lot more to offensive stage of the game.

That's was the state of my thinking all along.

Deco is 32 and seems very unmotivated the last few years. I wonder if he has the lungs anymore.

As for Sneijder - he is not really that creative. He is a solid passer of the ball but doesn't have the vision to make defence splitting passes. Most of the time he will be shooting from distance.

In this years mercato there was noone better who could fit Joses description, and also who would be available AND wouldn't be too expensive.

Walter Samuel,
It's not Jose's description, just something that some of you on this board have been speculating about.

Id be happy with Inler... Not a pure AM but could do the job. Is he not on the market?

I agree. With Inler I know what to expect. He's not creative but he distributes well and knows how to spread the play. Sneijder's consistency and injury problems is very worrisome.

Read the comments of Jose from last month, or a little earlier.

Quaresma rumored to Genoa again.

Hopefully this would happen. That Quaresma wouldn't be so convinced of staying anymore, as he hasn't been able to convince anyone in this preseason. If he realizes after left out of the Super Coppa squad (and Suazo was chosen) that he's not too high in the pecking order when choosing attacking players.

Would be brilliant if he goes. Anything that makes room for cassano is good in my book.

Quaresma needs another chance. He has too much talent to just give up on.

I still think it would be better for both, him and Inter, if he moved on loan for one season to Genoa. Lots of playing time, not big pressure, he could familirize with italian style of playing, learn how to take advantage of his dribbling, adjust it a little to Serie A. But here, he doesn't have this time.

Still I think it is less than 0,1% probable he will move. If he rejected it then, it is hard to believe he will move now.

Hopefully he won't accept Genoa, I still trust this player, as I don't think playing with a trequartista will work during all season, just as the last seasons.

We arent going to play wingers a lot.

I'd rather sell him Luka, what if he fails at Genoa? The odds are high for that to happen, then he wont be worth more than you and me, combined. So lets just cash out as Genoa is currently high on their Europe place. 10mil thank you.

...

"Meanwhile, Quaresma's poor performances have actually saved Inter €2 million. When he transferred from Porto, there were clauses in his contract stating that the Nerazzurri would have to pay bonuses to the Portuguese club if Quaresma made a certain amount of appearances or goals."

i wonder if this explains some part of this strange story: the story of a great player without any chances at all, as it was clear in beijing, when mou putted suazo as a winger with, nothing more and nothing less, quaresma at the hotel...

He should really reconsider Genoa; they reinforced pretty well and is going to fight for at least Europa place next season. Heck, they might even trump Milan at this rate. The Super Coppa should tell the pair that we are not gonna play wingers much.
