Some Albanian dude on an FB Inter page said this:

Rey Manaj, an Inter fan as a kid.
I was watching a documentary about him and his father said that Manaj had offers both from Inter and Jube. And he said they decided to sign for Inter since the whole family supports Inter.

Wouldn't call it a documentary. More like a short piece on him, similar to the one done on Shaqiri.

Anyway he's coming with the national team in Prishtina for a friendly. Not sure if I'll make it to the stadium tho.

Has anybody actually seen a full 90 mins of him playing preferably in a competitive game? There has been quite some talk about the kid yet i still have very little idea of what type of player he is except that he seems to be a classical number 9. So if anybody who has seen him play could share his thoughts on him it would be much appreciated.
I m especially intrested if you guys think he s ready to step in if Icardi/Jojo get injured meaning would you feel comfortable with him starting a couple of games in the second half of the season?

Edit: One reason i m asking this is that in the articles they often compare him to Zlatan but from the few videos i watched of manaj i dont really see the similarity.

classical 9 pretty much describes him, kind of a complete forward in the making. likes to drop deep and get involved, creates and finds space, sometimes even close to the wings. good shot too. like ronin said, i won't be surprised either if he gets called up for Euro. he's very ambitious and very loyal. in case of injuries, I'd start him, but not alone, and obviously with midtable teams and under, or attacking oriented teams that play openly. i think a loan in serie a, either this january, or a full season next one will do him very good, especially if there's a team that is willing to use him regularly.

would never compare him to ibrahimovic, haven't read anything like that about either.

Haven't you seen Manaj with us? He's been shit.

I'm not saying he is a bad player. I'm sure he will have a bright future but right now he is not on the level of Inter.

Yes Icardi's been shit but he is still miles ahead of Manaj.

So please don't get ahead of yourself.

I ain't saying he's the best player in the world but when has he been shit? The only stupid thing he has done is fuck up that chance and not passed at Icardi. He hasn't been extraordinary but not shit either.

Like a lot of our kids (current or previous) he has immense potential I feel. What separates him from the others in my opinion is his cockiness which I hope would enable him to flourish with us if he's given enough opportunities, next match a good chance for that. You could argue that since we're winning and top of the table why the hell would we risk it and play him? Valid point. However, when the fuck is it an appropriate time to play him? If he's to succeed with us (or any young'ns for that matter) risks need to be taken and since we are in a good form results wise then screw it and play him, that might give him confidence more so than put him under pressure to perform and deliver.

It really would be nice if for once one of the youngsters established himself while playing with Inter.

IMO Bonazzoli looked the better talent so I'm just not sure why this kid is here instead. I mean if we were worried about stagnating Bonazzoli shouldn't we be equally worried about Manaj?
