This guy is apparently the real deal. Rejected Juventus for us. Shame he will probably never feature on the first team with how this club operates :interflag:

How many strikers do we want to have in the primavera ffs? I have sense that in every transfer window we always buy atleast one striker for the primavera. We have/had ventre, bonazzoli, puscas, rapaic,ze turbo, capello, pedro delgado, one ghanian(can't remember his name) and now nicki minaj's brother.

But most of the names you listed are too old or too good to play for the Primavera, and Pedro Delgado is not a striker afaik.
I think the attackers for the Primavera will be Ze Turbo, Manaj, Rapaic and an addition from the Allievi.

Inter Milan told they've signed 'new Ibrahimovic'
by Chris Beattie

Inter Milan have been told they've landed the 'new Ibrahimovic' in the form of Albanian superkid Rey Manaj.

It broke last week that Inter had beaten rivals Juventus and Atletico Madrid to the signing of Manaj from Cremonese.

The Nerazzuri have coughed up a bargain €1 million for Manaj, who has been likened to PSG superstar Zlatan Ibrahimovic - not just in potential, but also attitude.

Albanian football expert Arlind Basholli, from the Gazeta Express, told tribalfootball.com: "Manaj is a player who likes to play as a second striker, but easily can adapt to being a centre-forward. He is a speedy player, not selfish and has great shooting ability.

"Specialists who have watched his game have said that he has similarities to Zlatan Ibrahimovic, they also see him being a rebel player."

Basholli adds: "He is definitely one of the best youngsters Albanian football has."

Manaj's move to Inter surprised local fans, as the young forward had been in discussions with Juventus for some weeks.

Basholli continued: "His transfer to Inter was a surprise for us all, because he was very close to joining Juventus. However, he chose the best option for himself.

"It is a great thing for football in Albania, because we have a lot of Inter fans here.

"They are proud of Manaj with this achievement."

welcome Rey and good luck!!

Let's hope you will make it. Let's hope you won't throw your talent away like fellow-rebel Arnautović. If you do somehow fail, let's hope the club can make a bigger profit than on Castaignos. :notbad:

@icardiscores: that italian article says that Fabio Eguelfi and Francesco Forte will join Cremonese ON LOAN [2-year deals]. And transfermarkt also reports that we payed 1m Euro for this guy! Seems like it was a bidding war... U21 always a gamble, let's hope for the best.

I can see why they call him rebel, at a simple Google search: in every picture he has a different hairstyle and he was also sent off @ Cremonese... left Sampdoria youth team... etc.

PS: LOL I found his ask.fm account :D

i'm tired of all these big name 'kids' we sign who never really do shit. look at tassi.

i'd rather we focus on our inward development - some of our best recent prospects have been quiet signings (like Benassi), or are in house (Bonazzoli, etc)

It's always a gamble to sign players, ESPECIALLY teenagers - their head can be easily turned in the wrong way +/- injuries can occur.

But it's important to sign U19 players because they are cheaper and NON-EU transfer slots can be dribbled this way (I assume). I kindly remind you that Balotelli for instance (made nice profit on him) was bought from Lumezzane in 2006 for 360.000 Euro! So we need these kind of early-bird, economically smart moves!!

rebel attitude :D already posting messages on youth level :serious:

Calciomercato reported that Ausilio also worked on this deal!! The "project" promised to him was that he will be main-forward of the Primavera squad, will receive treatment like Bonazzoli and Puscas - and I think he will be allowed to train with the senior team during summer pre-season.

good attitude, still needs to work on accuaricy - reminds me of Arnautović - but faster.

Using balotelli as an example to justify expenditure is retarded.

for every balotelli you can list a dozen youth players who cost money and didnt really pay off.

that balotelli transfer fee probably covered the costs for that list of dozen youth players... you only need to hit the jackpot once in a while!

Expecting that each new transfer will turn into a 30m player is retarded.

Sure, but that still doesnt justify spending 1m on Manaj... and before Balotelli the last time we did well was probably Martins? And we havent really done it since, either.

My understanding was that 1M is the complete evaluation of the transfer and includes the value of the youngsters we gave Cremonese, either way, for an 18 year old it's not unheard of, and it seems like other teams were more than willing to pay that for him too. I think even if he never makes it to the first team, he'll probably be good enough to be sent on loan and sold for a small profit.

INTER STRIDE INTO OBERNDORF FINAL
A goal from Rey Manaj gave Stefano Vecchi’s Primavera side a 1-0 win over Everton in the semi-finals

OBERNDORF – The Nerazzurri Primavera are in the Oberndorf Tournament final after they secured a 1-0 semi-final win over Everton this morning. Rey Manaj scored the only goal of the game, much of which Stefano Vecchi’s side were forced to play with ten men after the sending off of Gravillon in the 38th minute.

Inter will play Mainz in the final, with kick-off scheduled for 16:15 CEST this afternoon.

He scored today apparently. You been watching him, browha?
