I feel like all of you guys hoping for SMS or some other high profile (or at least good) midfielder, are in for a rude shock. I truly hope to eat my words but I suspect there will be zero new additions to midfield as I've been saying for a while. My money is on us going into the season with Sensi, Brozovic, Barella, Gagliardini, Vecino, Mario and Valero.

In other words, we'll do what we've been doing for the past two decades minus 2-3 seasons.

This guy is fired up. I reckon he's gonna have a good season.

“I’m happy, of course,” he told Sky Sport Italia, which caught up with him at Milan Malpensa airport.

“I tried to do my talking on the pitch. Now Inter must know the mistake they made.

“I don’t feel hunted. I’m peaceful and calm. I’m going back to Sardinia to do well.

“I made a decision with my heart, I had so many offers: now I want to lift the team in my centenary year.”

FC Inter 1908 reporters then asked the 31-year-old if he still had a future with the Nerazzurri.

“I’ll still have two years left on my contract after this season. Maybe my experience with Inter isn’t over yet.”

This was a big mistake, even if we are signing a top midfielder. Conte will soon realise that the intensity he wants, players like Gags and Vecino are incapable of sustaining over a period of time. Nainggolan may be old with an unhealthy lifestyle, but when he is in form, he can bring on that intensity and then some.

Happy for 9G, but this was a mistake.

 the most important part of the interview is missing where he said "forse staro sul cazzo" when they asked him about the reason he had to leave.

well it's also hard to translate. Translated it would be "maybe i was on someone balls/dick". ( a "pissed off way" to say when someone dislikes you) He means Marotta or Conte probably.

Doesn't seem like someone eager to leave.

So you saw vecino, gags, Valero and Mario and you were calling for Radja's head last season?!
No but I had higher expectations for him given his price and previous performances for Roma.

His price was lower than Mario's :work:

We didnt give up zaniolo or anything with legs to get JM, who arrived with promise at a young age.

We paid the following:

- Mario 45m
- Ninja 38m
- Vecino 24m
- Gags 24m

Thats what you judge them on. IMO despite his injuries, partying and poor form, Ninja was the best (or least worse) purchase of the above four.

The fact that Ausilio tried to reduce the cash outflow by selling our most promising youngster, thats on Ausilio's head. Ausilio is an idiot. Even before selling him, it was obvious that Zaniolo was very talented - everyone was raving about him. Just like Esposito now (though Zaniolo was even more highly rated). I remember ranting about it here before that transfer. Hopefully Ausilio has learnt his lesson and we only loan or sell our most gifted kids with a buy back clause now, and not throw them away as makeweights to reduce cash outflow.

Vecino is by huge margin the best deal of the above. As a player not even close to Radja. But when we consider age, price, resale value etc., it looks pretty clear to me.

Sure that's all good. But Radja, based on a great career in Serie A, was expected to make an immediate impact with Inter but he never did. The cost vs return of Radja shouldn't weigh less because of previous players' cost and output. The lot you were comparing him with were all expected to require time for development and integration. Of course it didnt work out, but they dont compare with radja.

Out of all the midfielders we have, let’s sell one of the only two who can shoot. Surely selling him is a higher priority than the others who shoot like 12 years old kids.

Nainggolan turned up late for training in December. That's reason enough to get rid of him.

Joao Mario on the other hand showed balls and character when he said he has no motivation to play for Inter. A classy player we're lucky to still have with us.

So we are paying 2/3 of his salary? Damn not only did Marotta show that Inter is a "straight up","disciplined" and "no-nonsense" club, he also showed that Inter is a wizard in negotiating. We were able to offload our second best midfielder on dry loan while at the have time having cagliari pay a third of his salary.

Forza Marotta.
