Let me add that Conte is also good at developing players, I forgot that. Bonucci is so so overrated.

His first season at Juventus had a defensive trio of: Chiellini-Bonucci-Barzagli covered by a midfield of Marchisio-Pirlo-Vidal. That is an insane starting 6 players, not "an okay team". Lichsteiner under Conte was also a crazy good player under Conte (albeit a cock). I can't really remember who played LWB for them, probably Giaccherini or De Ceglie, so it's their weakest position at the time much like it is ours. I don't think Milan looked any better on paper.

those trident in defense was no world class defenders bruh before Conte era. probably chiellini alone who already regular in NT. Barzagli played in palermo and bonucci was a so so defender at the time. It was Conte who made those defenders look very good, which was then perfected by Allegri. but the first coach that made them make the first big leap was Conte.

Same with the midfield. Pirlo was considered finished in Milan. Vidal was a decent mid (probably like De Paul at the moment), but definitely was not world class mid before Conte arrive.

I think the lwb was padoin. fucking padoin.

What I am saying is Conte clearly make his players perform much better, provided that they are his players (no matter how weird his choices are). Off course, perform better means higher value if we want to offload them. Also, from what I've seen in general getting trophy also somehow made it easier for club to release their deadwood. I mean being bench players in winning team is somehow raising the value of players.

Conte's main formation in 2011-12 wasn't a back 3. He was either using a hybrid 4-4-2 with Chiellini as a lb and a midfield of Simone Pepe, Pirlo, Marchisio and Vidal or a more traditional 4-3-3. He used 3-5-2 only on few occasions. He used 3-5-2 on regular basis the following season with Asamoah mostly playing on the left wing.

Conte isn't leaving this sweet pay day. Would be kind of funny if we give Gasp another shot at coaching us.

I think Gasp is perfect place at Atalanta with much less pressure and not that big expectations to perform and he have more time to improve his system and players. Eaven if he win scudetto with Atalanta I would not hire him. Like Ranieri have failed every big club but he won Premier league with Leicester. So most people think if he can win tittle with Leicester he can do it anywhere? But no things dont work like that!

Leicester was perfect environtment with good promising players like Vardy, Mahrez, Maguire, Kante and only PL and cup games to worry and no big injuries in that season and lots of luck with those last minute goals! Also every big club was underperforming wich is rare thing too. I think Pochettino Tottenham should have won that year with that team, but maybe those Europe league games was too much and Pochettino is overall average coach?

The same argument is that if you put Pep in 2014 Inter, that Inter won't reach CL spots, let alone win a Scudetto. Sometimes things just click like in the Ranieri/Leicester case and nothing else needs to be said about it. Most successful coaches are stubborn in their own way.

Spurs could've won the league title that one year, when their cbs were still on the lower side of their 30s, they had a great core, even Walker was bossing on RB.

But they fell at the end of the season.

Or when Rodgers was -this- close to winning EPL with Liverpool until that Gerrard slip happened.

Just because a team didn't win the championship that year, that doesn't mean the team and the coach weren't able to.

Sure anyone can win with any team if all the stars are lineup perfectly, but its very rare and veri unlikely! Thats why I only want ”proven” managers and no to Gasp, Ranieri, Stramala, De Boer...

If there is a chance that Conte might be tempted to English league and if there is any hope of getting Allegri, I say do it right away !! Conte did great winning us the Scudetto this season BUT we should not forget that Juve with Pirlo were terrible. Conte won us the title for sure but he is arrogant as hell with his tactic and everything.

Not sure of that happening but if Conte is to leave and we get Allegri, it would be another master stroke for us - for Inter to get a very good coach & Juve would not get THE one.

That being said, it seems Allgeri is close to Juve I guess and if somehow things do not go well with transfers and if Conte gets a very good offer from Spurs or ??, then things would not look good for us for sure.

I am dying for the season to end now. Foremost, I would love to see the celebrations with the trophy and then the coach issue would be confirmed for next season soon. All kudos to Conte but I would love Allegri to coach us and at the same time also hope that the management does help a bit with transfers - LB, CM at the least !!

I see NO reason for Conte to switch to a fucking Tottenham Hotspur. They will not pay him top bucks as they need to pay Mourinho for two years. Conte has 13 million reasons to stay at Inter.

Mou took the Roma job so they don’t have to pay him. I guess he doesn’t have a vineyard

Tottenham can afford to pay Conte the money. Levy wants some success to go with the new stadium, which is one of the reasons he gave so much money to Mou. Also if Spurs wants to retain some of his stars like Kane and Son, they need to show ambition. So I can see Spurs being very interested in Conte. Also their squad is more "Conte-ready" than Inter were when Conte came here, they will mainly need to sell a coupla wingers and buy a coupla defenders & midfielders.

I guess it boils down to whether Conte is satisfied with Suning's commitment to the project or not. If Suning can promise to retain all the key players and do the bare minimum investment, then I think Conte will prefer to stay (rather than say take up the hypothetical Spurs option). He has already put in a lot of hard work here to create a group who work to his plan and have great spirit, so there is a lot of reason for him to stay. If Suning plan to sell off a star or two for financial reasons, then I think Conte is as good as gone - even if its only Spurs.

Conte is at the peak of his career as a coach - its his ambition of success that will determine which option he chooses. He will get the money either way, his stock went up a fair bit with this Scudetto. He has won the domestic league 5 times in last 7 seasons as a club coach, with 3 different clubs. That looks quite good on the cv.

I am optimistic though, I think Suning will make the commitment.

Lmao we just won a Scudetto and this thread is alive..he's not leaving the sweet money we are giving him.

Roma is only paying Mou 6-7m a year, Tottenhams gotta be footing the bill as there's no way he would take a job that pays that little.

I think Spurs are paying about half of Mou's salary for the next two years, thats the rumoured settlement.

EPL has this appeal to many coaches that not even winning the Scudetto could tempt em not to reject a good opportunity to coach in England. So I give a good chance that he takes the Tottenham job, specially with all the rumors about Chelsea and City's strong interest in Lukaku and the possibility of selling him because of Inter's financial situation.

Personally I'm all for getting Allegri and selling Lukaku for 100m and then buy Belotti, De Paul and Gosen, and getting free agents like Marega or Aguero. Allegri has played with 3-5-2 and 4 man backline so he can continue with the same formation as Conte's, or change it according to our set of players for the next season.

Good chance that he takes the Tottenham job? There's been absolute no rumors at all regarding this Conte to Tottenham yet you are already giving a good chance for that?

You people are so out of touch.

Let's just say that there was less of a chance of Mourinho to Roma than Conte to Tottenham :D

Don't see him going there. He's waiting for Solskjaer to leave.

I agree. Conte isn't after just any EPL job. He wants to coach Man Utd. Maybe that's why he's after so many of their players. It's a message to their management. :D

I have a bad feeling in my gut that if Conte leaves Marotta would go for Inzaghi, because he's young, cheap, contract expiring and plays 3-5-2.

Never thought I'd say this, but please stay, Antonio. You may be a cunt but that cunt Inzaghi is on another level.

Inzhagi has done a good job at lazio with next to no resources. I don't think he's the worst in the world. If conte leaves, that's a sign to all of us that we are going to be selling players and cost cutting. Inzhagi should still get us to top 4, which will be our objective yet again.
