he has been included in the squad of the last 2 games, maybe we see him some minutes in the next games, as a starter it's not possible and the guy is only 17 years old...
He ain't, he is an offensive player I believe. BUt still we've got 3 a bit easier games coming so it'd be good to keep him on bench and maybe give a chance to shine with two midfielders out. You may never know what he may do with his few minutes. He may do another Martins and win our hearts over very quickly. And don't get me wrong. I only want him to get a chance in case we're like 3 goals up in the second half or also 2 goals with like 10 minutes to go.

"I've read the Calciopoli verdicts and I have the impression that they tried to cure cancer by using an aspirin."
Heh what a great line.

Seriously, having no Vieira the three games will suck if the appeal doesn't go through. Our options in CM are running thin.

Yes, i'am always in favour of that, if in the minute 65/75 we are leading Chievo for 2-0 or 3-0, why not play him? u never know a player if u don't play him, if he has been included in the last 2 squads it's for something.

Also agree with Zeman, why is Galliani still working? and why is Moggi writing in a football magazine instead of be banned?

Wonder if I can
Maybe wild idea but why not to try Alvaro as CM/ACM? Hope his teeth are OK and do not hurt. Or maybe Burdisso as DM but it is like sci-fi

INTER 2009/10 !
It doesn't matter!! It was 2nd yellow card, which means automaticly one match ban! Reffere can write in report only that he got his 2nd card for a foul!!

Dammit, they are rulling against us again!! :fero: But we are to strong this time!!

Vieira will be badly missed if our appeal to be rejected. His performances this season has been very good and he's a commanding figure in our midfield.

However, after seeing what "Il Capitano" did during the Roma game I can say that he could deputise for Vieira during his absence. I think Zanetti can fill that position with not problems.

who knows what vieira said to the referee, but he played great game and i think that was not a right decision to ban him for three games :(

I still can't get over this. Even if he did say something, doesn't every player do that? Just look at how Gattuso is acting towards the referees. Can someone honestly say they don't believe he is saying some vulgar stuff too?

Meanwhile Luca Toni gets his suspension annulled after an opponent stepping forward and admitting he wasn't hit.

Please remind me of last season when Adriano was suspended after a non-existing incident with Grandoni in Livorno who after the game said he wasn't hit?

Atleast Cambi should be back for the 3 one of those games. He should be fit to face catania on the 15 october.

This is a ridiculous ban but what can you do.

And dont forget when Samuel was banned for "spitting" at Nedved and Nedved came out and said that Samuel didnt spit at him and there was no reason for it. He was still banned. I assure you that this would not have happened to Vieira last year.

Ever hear of training? Just because we dont know a layer doesnt mean the manager and his assistants dont know the player.

This Viera ban is really excessive and seems really odd to me in light of out current situation. I cant see how whatever he said was exaggerted into a three match ban. If the ban is reduced by at least one match then we have to wake up to the realization that somethings will never change in Serie A.

This suspension puzzles me as well. Could it be because he played for a now punished team last year? Is it because it's Vieira? Because it's Inter?

I see truth in Zeman's statements.

But phuck everyone, we'll win everything anyway :frustrat:

According to Channel 4, the appeal has been rejected.

I doubt Stan would face Cagliari and Dacourt seemed out of it against Bayern.

Yup.

We're a bit in trouble in the midfield department and I hope Mr. Vieira will realize that he can't be sent off every other game.

Anybody who has followed him from his arsenal days know thats part of the package. You have to take his bad with his good since his good outweights the bad. He has to control himself a bit more but he will get cards and suspensions it's the way he has always been.

I hate to bring this up again, but JZ better step to the plate more and deal with the players. Four red cards so far is really worrying.

I remember Vieira arguing with alot of decisions in the Lisbon and Roma game, and the only player who tried to shove him away was Cordoba, why can't JZ do that?

I want JZ to announce it loud and clear that he is the captain, and he is the one who goes and argues with ref's, not Vieira or anyone else.

Otherwise, Vieira will be sent off every other game. Besides the fouls, he will get carded for excessive arguing, I hope this is clear to JZ and the management.

We have been through this Hamed. That isn't JZ style and will never be. He isn't a shouter type of captain , he is a diplomat. Some players shout others talk. It's really mancini's job to get it into the boys heads. That they need to control their aggresion.

The suspension is strange but it does not really come as a surprise. The decision to award last season's Scudetto to Inter was controversial and many people are still unhappy about it. The authorities are under pressure and there are alklegations that Inter was favoured or looked after by Rossi during the scandal. The authorities do want want to be seen as favouring any one team over the other so Inter is now bearing the brunt of having the Scudetto given to us by default. Hence the harsh suspension. I have a feeling most of the season is going to be like this for us.

Hamed, as I said in the Zlatan thread, it is the coach's place to lay down the law with regards to poor discipline. Mancini should make a point of benching players that collect cards and get suspended and let them know that they will be punished. The club should also take a hard stance and enforce heavy fines.

With regards to Captain Zanetti and Vieira, the latter should realise that there is a pecking order at the club. Despite being Arsenal Captain Vieira has to learn his place at Inter. His job is to play football. Leave Captaining and talking to the referee to Zanetti.
