By signing him and releasing Pizarro the management/Mancini have placed a lot of confidence in this guy. Confidence that his performances in the past season with Juve certainly did not inspire. I really hope he can perform at a high level for us but as always I fear the worst. We can only hope he stays injury free and strikes up a good partnership with Esteban.

The fact that the two are pure CMs disturbs me though. Before he was either purely in the defensive ball distributor role at Arsenal and then as Juve he had more chances to move up and play the ball. I hope that he and Esteban can sort themselves out correctly and alternate in their dutes and not end up with both of them caught out or left backfield giving the attack no support.

At best one can hope that they will have solid communication and will be in constant contact with one another on the pitch. Eventually they will learn the movements of the other but their partnership and how it progresses is going to be key to any sort of success we hope to achieve.

I am 100% behind the both of them but the bold move by the management to blindly trust the capability of these two under unproven circumstances strikes me as not only bizarre but also shor sighted.

You make an excellent point here, but I trust that the two of them are professional and skilled enough to cope with the task. Potentially, Vieira-Cambiasso is the best central midfield duo worldwide.

Vieira is past it now, you should be looking at young Jamie McClen, a product of the Newcastle youth setup that absolutely bossed Vieira off the pitch 2 years back.

Seriously, if anyone knows any scouts at the club, give Jamie McClen a mention, it's surprise you how well he's done!

Javier Zanetti.
hello
we need experienced players now. bcoz mancini seem doesnt have a clue how to boost his player moral. cambiasso did well last season.sad abou pizarro but i think viera still has it. if only we had 19/20 yr olds player who is energic and like to run here and there. that will fill all the equations.

I know he's a good player but he really needs to stop getting sent off, or else he'll have to be dropped for the good of the team..

I agree... There is no doubd he is great, but still he mest stop getting so much red cards. So that Mancini helps him, I think that when he gets yellow, he should be subbed.

What?! That can't be possible. He received a red card through two yellow and both of them were doubtful. He cannot possible receive an extra ban, can he? They just do that for straight red cards.

3 games for second yellow!?!?!? It wasn't directly red card, this should've been 1 game ban...

This is what my godfather, Zdenk Zeman, said the other day:

“Honestly, I don’t really think things have changed at all,”

“I’ve read the Calciopoli verdicts and I have the impression that they tried to cure cancer by using an aspirin.

“You only need to look around and see that many of the individuals who were handed a ban are still working as if nothing happened"

Bad, bad, bad news... probably he don't deserve to see the second yellow for that Montella dive... our midfield will look weak for the next games, i would like to introduce Maxwell in Cambiasso role.

I wouldn't mind having Maroufi in bench for one of the games and try him out in case we are leading big. Too bad Mancini don't share those ideas.

Maroufi is a 100% DM?
he has been included in the squad of the last 2 games, maybe we see him some minutes in the next games, as a starter it's not possible and the guy is only 17 years old...
