Thank You. As a person I dont hate Martins, but he just wasnt good enough for us. In todays Inter, niether Martins nor Emre will find a spot even on our subs bench.

Why wasnt a poll done for MArtins for which forums does he belong in?

Who said anything about hating Martins as a person? I just think that in comparison to the players we presently have on our books, the likes of Martins and Emre would struggle to establish themselves.

I believe this is a good sign because it shows how far Inter have come in the last few seasons. Unlike many of my fellow posters, I hope that neither Martins or Emre will ever return and wear our colours because they remain players that lack the calibre to play for a club like Inter and were rightfully allowed to leave.

Martins is a worst striker than Ibrahimovic or Crespo, but it's not worst than Suazo or today's Adri.

I would not rate Martins higher than Suazo. Martins' great strength was his pace. Suazo is equally as quick and in my opinion, he is a more intelligent player than Martins. Also, Suazo captained Cagliari for a great many years. Martins does not have leadership qualities.

I think Suazo is a good fit for us. I originally thought we basically downgraded our martins, but Suazo has class and smarts that come from team leading experience that you can see when he plays.

Martins will always be a memorable player in my mind, but we don't need him now.

Great goal by Martins vs Reading. :proud: He's really on fire, just like Newcastle right now. I think 3 goals in the last 3 matches? Not a coincidence that it coincides with Newcastle's revival IMO.

Btw, also good goal by Owen and a funny celebration. I thought he was gonna get power-slammed. :D

Whenever he score, I get nostalgic, because it shows he can. Unfortunately, he scores on out of five sure goals.

Same here lol

I ended up watching the game too. Newcastle looked pretty decent for once, even if they were just playing Reading. The 4-3-3 seems to be working rather well for them at the moment. Owen-Viduka-Oba is a deadly strike force.

Oba, Viduka and Owen are very good players; not world beaters, but very good. It's just up to Keegan to lay out the tactics for the team to adjust to those 3. And I hope Newcastle does well, really, just because Oba & Emre were 2 of my favorite Inter players.

Ditto. I was especially sad when Emre left us. His style always appealed to me + he was a great player at his best. Remember his two goals from distance vs Lazio at Olimpico in 2002/2003 when we got 3-3 (almost 4-3, Crespo hit the post and Bobo had a massive chance) from 0-3?

APPIANO GENTILE - Ex-Inter striker Obafemi Martins paid a visit to the Centro Sportivo Angelo Moratti on Wednesday afternoon to greet his former team-mates and watch them train.

"I'll be here in Italy for five days," he told Inter Channel. "I'm still an Interista and I couldn't not come here to say hello to everybody in Appiano.

"I'm very busy with my team (Newcastle United), but I have been following Inter's matches from England for the whole year."

On Mario Balotelli, who is quickly following in the footsteps of the Nigerian striker, Martins said: "I saw him and we spoke a bit. I told him that he's good and that he has to keep playing like he's playing."

Legend. :proud:

And some of you doubted where his thread should be located. :irritate:

Martins will always remain as my favorite non-Inter player. :star:

Its really rare to find a player who gets sold when wanting to play for the team yet doesn't critic the team in any way and has no hard feelings towards the team that's really rare....
