Maybe this is a good step towards building this teams confidence against Milan...
The coach can say to the players most of you had a less than average game,we played 3 games in one week with 2 amazing performances one of them in Spain and now we drew level with one of the best sides in europe..Considering everything u did well, but i am expecting more in the next derby :star:

Veron is ridiculously slow whenever he has the ball.

This is no news, my mate. He can cool down the pace very well, but our counter-attacks suffer a lot.

I fail to comprehend how Gattuso is allowed to run three meters forward on every freekick of ours.

This was freaking annoying :frustrat:

Fontana was really something tonight. 37 and still going. :lala:

We got four yellows because of Kaka. How silly is that?

What about our cornerkicks. Those were just awfull. :depress:

I liked that Favalli, Matrix, Cordoba and Cuchu were ready to sacrifice themselves and get a yellow when they felt there was no other way to stop Kaka'.

This guy is just great:

This is the brilliant move from Favalli, which counts just like a goal!

Right on. They took the cards just when there were nothing else to do. I only think that Cafe's yellow wasn't justified, since he touched the ball first.

Three points:

Cambiasso: He's like the Davids on Barqa, I really don't understand how Madrid let him go.
Fontana: Who would think a few months ago that he will be our No1 keeper, playing very good.
Vieri: Martins and Recoba should be Adriano's partner; his friendship with Mancini is a problem.

0-0 is better than loseing there was some good chance to them as well as us

here is my rating

Fontana 9
i always said he is one of the best sub goal keepers i ever saw in my life . it is strange that he accept to be sub all these years . the guy is super . anyway today was his day and he did great job . but i stell think toldo must be our first . how come we give veiri all these chances (he is the main reason of most of points we lose) and dont give toldo 2nd chance .

J. Zanetti 7.5
good work from him as all the time he play .

Cordoba 7.5
defecult match for all of the defance kaka make a good match but our guys do great job stopping him

Materazzi 6.5
good but there was some mistakes

Favalli 7
he did great passes .. the best one to veiri who waste it (useual) . but bbilan work alot in his area becouse he go forward and slow in comming back .

Veron 4,5
disappointed by him . so bad match for him . maybe he is tired

Cambiasso 9
Im so sorry to cambiasso becouse when he come to inter i was so mad and think it is waste of money to bring him . but from now i must say thanks inter to bring camiasso :)

Emre 4.5
our short turk was so bad today . im very disppointed by him :(

Stankovic 5
he didnt give anything .

Vieri 0.5
sorry i cant give him more . he did nothing at all . oh yes he waste 2 easy chances . sorry to say this but him scoreing 2 goals was a disadvantage to inter .. cant wait to the january (BYE VEIRI GOOD LUCK)

Adriano 6
2nd half was better than the first but remamber that he didnt get any rest since the beginning of the season play with us in the calcio in the CL and play with the national team .

Andy VDM
cant say anything about him

Martins
our kid was too late :(

Mancini
did a really really bad thing by waitting to the 75 min to bring oba in . it was so wrong oba must start in the begnning of the 2nd half . veron was bad he must be sub . davids need chance

good luck next match

Favalli 5.5/10
Made Milan's right side the focus of their attack. Gave away many time and space for Cafu, Pirlo and Kaka to attack. Emre didn't help him out enough.

Thats wierd! he was great against shevchenko and i cant believe how quite Cafu was! i think his the best rightback in the world and he barely did anything to us. Great job Beppe!!!

Also Adriano loooked really tired, but he struggled against that defence. anyway I was upset that Emre started again. It should of been Davids!! im dyin for him to play. his great, but the sad thign is his wages are so high that his one of the main reasons that we had to get rid of Canna. and now were not even using Davids! :fero:

Cambiasso solid again, good job. Capitano was attacknig in the first half but slowed down in the 2nd to defence more, which is acceptable.

our midfield should of been
-----Cambiasso----
Veron-Davids-Deki

instead of
-----Cambiasso----
Veron-Emre-Deki

Other than that, good result considering we had about 3 players who were playin there first milan derby. So we should be happy and now Crush lecce.

Last night may be the last Derby I'll ever watch. I was so nervous, overly panicking at times. My heart can't take this kind of tensions and pressures anymore. Perhaps I'll follow future Derbies through MSN, not even Scarpini. This may be a post-Derby syndrome though and may change in the future. :D;)

I didn't watch the match properly (Sometimes covering my face with my shirt/hand) and my arguments could be wrong but I'll just say it out. Let's start with the defence. I thought Cordoba was a little shaky for this game. But in overall, they did very well, ecspecially Fontana. I can't believe that Favalli is being praised a lot here. I thought that he, alongside Veron, is the worst Inter player on the pitch. He was bombarded by Cafu all night long. It can be argued that Deki didn't help the defending too much. Matrix and JZ were very solid.

Midfield was complete utter crap. Hey, what's new? Only in the opening 5-10 minutes that they passed the ball superbly. After that, 'pass' was simply not in their dictionary. Cambiasso was great in covering the back 4 though. Veron is crap. I think it's just a mistake to base our midfield around him. Look at Pirlo! That's what a midfield general should be.

The pre-match comments by Matrix, Costacurta and Maldini surely affected Adriano's mental. Being commented as being not as decisive as Ronaldo yet, Adriano went childish in this match and tried to do everything on his own. He almost did, in a moment of magic, in the closing minute of the first half. I swear I thought it was a goal and I had even jumped from my sofa.

Vieri oh Vieri. I guess 2 games are not enough to say that he's back in form. The match could very well been very different had he not missed that sitter, off an Emre's pass, in the 3rd minute. Vieri really really need to work on his finishing when he's one on one with the keeper with the ball in his feet.

Anyway, I guess neither team deserve to lose. Milan may dominate us but we had the better chances. It's great to have a clean sheet prior to the Lecce, best offensive team in Serie A, game in 3 days time.

I agree most of the statements written by Handoyo on this game.

A dissappointing derby. :cry2:

I would say that we were lucky to get one point from this derby, due to the poor performance from our team. But thanx god we managed to take a point despite playing this bad. Well then, we are still unbeaten this season. :proud: :D

Just like Handoyo, this was another derby which made me damn nervous. I didn't cover my face while watching the game :D , but I got damn nervous and my body was shaking, as if I was feeling too cold. :D

Our midfield was pathetic, as only Cambiasso did very well. Mancini should try to sub Veron as well, he was a complete utter crap. V.Meyde or Davids should had been played lot earlier. Stankovic had an off day as well. And Emre didn't play play either, nonetheless, he was the best of the trio.

My ratings:

Fontana - 9
He had a superb game, which means that Toldo has everything to worry about and his agent can shut his mouth for a while.

J.Zanetti - 7
We didn't see the real J.Zanetti, but still he was not bad compared to his team-mates.

Cordoba - 6.5
Not a bad game.

Materazzi - 6.5
Same as above, but at times he went a bit too much high in the midfield and had to chase the ball with Kaka, which he lost most of the times.

Favalli - 6.0
He did well on so many occassions and saved from dangerous situations. But as said by Handoyo, Cafu had a very good game in that flank.

Veron - 4.0
Nothin to say.

Stankovic - 5.5
Didn't play well.

Emre - 6.0
He can do much better that this.

Cambiasso - 8.0
Yet another good game. He's proving to be a consistent performer. :proud:

Vieri - 5.0
Missed two good chances and lost the possession as well, but wasn't helped by the midfield as well. Well, Martins is back.

Adriano - 6.0
An off day for Adriano. Made many good runs in the left wing, but for nothin. Came close to scoring once, which I had thought he had already put in, only to realize that it was not a goal, as they didn't celebrate.

Mancini - 5.0
He made very late substitutions. Veron should had come off.

:)

I AM HAPPY WITH THE DRAW, COZ OF THE WAY WE HAD PERFORMED !!

I'm still quite amazed by the general negativity here.

Did you guys go watch the derby expecting us to win 3-0?

I heard it all since last night: Favalli had a bad game, people sad cause Toldo didn't play, Cordoba was shaky. Are you guys losing it or something?

Favalli was just great. It's certainly not his fault if Milan kept going down the wings. As I pointed out already, Milan was playing with a 3-5-2 formation when in possession of the ball, and the reason why the used the wings so much is simply because we didn't give them one inch of space in the middle.

Try and considering our opponent when making judgements ffs! Did you see Pirlo having a great night? I surely haven't, and maybe a little Turk could get some credit for that. Did you see a great Sheva? Cordoba, Favalli, anyone?

Veron wasn't brilliant but, especially in the second half, in the middle it was a real battle, you can't expect things to be tidy. Did our midfield do worse than Milan's? Certainly not. Their best player was Nesta, and the other was Kaka'.

By the way, Veron provided an amazing assist to Adriano in the first half. You should take into account the circumstances of the game before you start the bashing.

The strikers were stopped by a brilliant Milan defence. Still we had great chances to score, much more than mighty Barcelona, who played with Larsson, Deco, Ronaldinho and Eto'o.

A boring derby? The Eurosport commentators described it as a match of high quality between 2 great teams.

One of them said: "People are going to have an hard time going to work tomorrow and try to convince their friends that this game was so good!". Amen to that.

Enough with the long faces mates, we looked solid as ever yesterday, just try to see things into prospective.

Frisko let me back u up here...
Did u read Cordobas comments towards Favalli. You dont often see that.

anyway, because it was milans home game. For every 8 supports from them we have 1

So to think we had no more then 20thousand out of 80,000 doesnt make it easy. Vieri wsa booed, so were other players. Adriano would get beaten and there would be a huge ROAR for nesta. This makes Nesta play better while Adriano goes into a bit of a shell. The crowd play a part in urging that defence to take out Adriano, which they did.

Now were 8 points behind yes? well lets see, We have played Roma, Milan Parma and Chievo. All big teams, has juve played any of them yet??

No they havent im sure they'll lose points.

Also our team yesterday was still young, we havent had time to gel. Milan team been playing for years and we have a new team. With every match we are improving. That what makes it so good, by the time we get to Inter V milan, were going to thrash them boys.

Im happy about this result, considering i was shaking non-stop!!! i couldnt take it lol i wsa so nervous.

Overall draw was good, season is still long and things can only get better.

Just a few thoughts / questions after last nights game:

- A very tense and viewable 0 – 0 game I’ve seen for a long time. Pretty fair result if you ask me.

- Finally we managed NOT to concede a goal! Shame we also didn’t score one!

- The Nesta / Adriano battles were a sheer joy to watch.

- Except few short passages our midfield never controlled the game. This due to the fact that neither of Stankovic, Emre and specially Veron managed to live up to their own standards.

- In a game as such where our midfield wasn’t as dominant as one would have liked it to be. Set pieces could have made the difference.
However, unfortunately most if not all of our set pieces were miss handled mainly due to Veron’s carelessness.

- Bad news for C.zanetti / Toldone as Cambiasso and Jimmy were the 2 who played with great tranquillity during the entire game.

- Just as in the Valencia game Cordoba seemed to panic at times. I want to see the good old Cordoba again.

- The real winner was Gobbi who are having a heck of a run. Surely they will sart to lose some serious points along the way ;)

- When will Mancini realise that the Adriano – Vieri partnership = a BIG no no!

- Finally why did Mancini wait so long before he brought in Martins and also VDM till certain extend? I know Oba is not match fit but surely he could have played more than those 7 min!

Long time lurker, first time poster.

Just had to say that it's good to see somebody finally take the emotion out of it and give a brilliant appraisal of the match. We all get emotional (especially during the match, it's human nature) but it's good to see that there is someone else out there who saw the match like me.

I am very pleased with the result. Last night (or this morning for myself) was the first time in a long time that I actually felt pleased and comfortable while watching a derby. As much as we hate them, Milan are absolute quality. All their players are world class, and the nucleus of that team has been together for 3 years. We are in a transitional phase and even though we definitely should be playing well with the players we have at our disposal, it's hard to express yourself against a seasoned team like Milan.

There are many positives to come out of the match. We didn't concede. The back four looked better (i'd still like to see the LB and RB get forward more, especially JZ) Favalli continues to improve (how long since Inter had a solid LB?) Cambiasso has settled in wonderfully.

The most pleasing aspect of the derby was that we gave Milan a fright. They have owned us physically and mentally for years, and we finally served it up to them last night. I for one am proud, and excited about the future.

FORZA INTER!

I really thought our back line did a great job along with the superb duo of the night Fontana and Cambiasso...

I didnt see Favalli to be a liability to tell you the truth, everyone made mistakes and some could have cost us more than others but in general this is our first clean sheet in the SerieA and it came against Milan...

I really think we should rotate lots of players including Adriano for Lecce so they dont get tired..If we enter the derby fresh the next time around i am sure we will get a better result :star:
