Our defence was horrible, did you notice that almost every ball in our area was won by Milan players? It's miracle that we didn't lose this game.

Vieri-Adriano No partnership, No comment

Sorry I haven't been able to post earlier but I am with Frisko on this one - positively happy.Sure all you doom gloomers can say we didn't score,Veron was crap and all that but I look at it the other way round. For example here are my ratings -

Fontana - 9/10 :proud:
He was our saviour last night,Toldo may be unhappy but this really has been an inspired move by Mancini.

J.Zanetti - 8/10 :)
Capitano defended well and he got forward as much as possible,he didn't make any big errors either!

Favalli - 8/10 :proud:
He was great.Luckily,he had a good game and there was some real world class defending in that.

Cordoba - 7/10 :)
Could have been better, but still looked solid and kept Milan out

Materazzi - 7,5/10 :)
A strong performance from the big defender,he has impressed me in these last few games.

Cambiasso - 9/10 :proud:
Just like Fontana,Cambiasso saved us on many occasions and without him we would have lost.I am really starting to like him!

Emre - 6,5/10
Quite poor which won't help him stay in the first team.Still made a beautiful pass with his heel to Adriano though.

Stankovic - 7/10 ;)
Not his usual self, apart from some shots he was relatively quiet and probably tired.

Veron - 5,5/10 :(
OK it was his worst performance for Inter so far this season but there is no reason to start calling him crap because of one game!

Vieri - 5,5/10
It's a shame that he didn't score and although he won't be back to his best, just because a played doesn't score against Milan it doesn't mean that you are off form.Still he could have improved!

Adriano - 7/10 :(
He was cancelled out by Nesta and Maldini and did all that he could. Some nice little runs unforunately were not enough but he is still as lethal as ever!

Martins and Van Der Meyde,no ratings but I did see some positive signs from both of them!

Hi, I watch the whole game....

IMO, it was a great match, we deserved a win but a tie wasnt that bad...
especially we are up against Milan, the team with one of the best midfields and backs in the world...

we can see that on personal level, our team has great players and full of determinance, everyone seems eager to fight and get the result.... we may actually have better potential at mdfield than Milan...

Vieiri did miss three golden chances, but what makes me happy is that his moves seems better and he 's able to create those chances... Oba should not have played this game, coz he really is not fit...

considering most of the players played full match against Valencia, I am proud that the players fight till the end... Adriano runs a lot, Veron worked hard, Emre also did...

Milan is understandably better in the midfield, they have used the same midfield at least for one year... while we have our midfield less than 3 months... But our midfielders show their potential......
If we keep growing like this, we will have the most frightening midfield in the world..

Nesta suffered a lot containing Adriano, if the game is prolonged for another 45 minutes, Nesta may not make it happen anymore.

Emre should have taken the role similar to Kaka, but I saw Emre improve his game...

The other good thing for us is that our defense can hold Milan.. even barca has to lose one... here..

Fontana is another high point of this game, I used to think that fontana is truly a back up, but when you saw last night performance.... He deserved to start against Milan... Toldo should ponder on this..

well, I used to say in this forum everytime we change a coach, I will settle if any coach can build up something in his first season... so I am very content with the performance of our team, we can see that our player need to improve their understanding to each other..

the other two good things from this game, is that we had a clean sheet and we havent lost at all this season/..

A boring derby? The Eurosport commentators described it as a match of high quality between 2 great teams.

Maybe it was really good match on Brittish levels. Brittish people aren't certainly accustomed to good football hence I can understand they consider it great match.

My ratings:

Fontana 7
J.Zanetti 6,5
Cordoba 6
Materazzi 6,5
Favalli 7
Veron 4,5
Cambiasso 6,5
Emre 5,5
Stakovic 5
Vieri 5,5
Adriano 5,5

Subs played too little.

Mancini 5

First off all i want to say that I am dissapointed we couldnt win this game considering the big chances Adriano and Vieri had! I still cant believe Adriano missed that chance he created, man i really thought it was going to be a goal, i was already jumping on the couch :( .

I think the negativity here has come from the fact that most of us thought ( including me ) that we will beat milan after the valencia spectacle. Its a pity it wasnt meant to be and to be honest im still not over it that we havent won.

But we should look at the positives those are we had our first clean sheet this season in the serie a, we drew against milan not against a mickey mouse club. And we are still unbeaten in the champions league and in the domestic league only 2 other clubs can say that those are juve and lyon.

Inshallah we will be able to beat milan in the return derby, and just show them who is the boss of the city milan. Now we should concentrate for the match against lecce wich is a must win and hope for a juve breakdown against roma.

Never lose hope guys, we are INTER

Nice to finally see some positive thoughts.

One thing that hasn't been mentioned yet is the fair play, both teams were an amazing example of that. Even very aggressive players such as Stanko and Gattuso were shaking hands. Well done guys! :proud:

Cant Agree more.

- A very tense and viewable 0 – 0 game I’ve seen for a long time. Pretty fair result if you ask me.
I think its fair too taking both teams performance.

--------

Good feedback guys, I was hoping for a win, but I am an INTER die hard fan and I have the right to demand.

Anyway we were playing the champion of last year Scudetto and CL winner the season before, and their formation, coach and main style is still the same. On the other side we are a team facing difficult psychologically due to lack of trophies since long time.

I agree with Frisko, Helal, Thug_Paco, coole Emre, there is a new term I didn’t come across it with any commentator or match analysis for inter games and guys here use it a lot (SHAKY), what shaky means? Are we looking at players faces and asses their condition? Strange. Cause being in business for long time I know that I judge people actions by how close they were to achieve their objectives, and yesterday our defence was great. Period.

J Zanetti mentioned something really important, and the British commentators yesterday on TLN in Canada, mentioned that why Inter is wasting their set pieces like that, cause we got a lot and you don’t need me to tell u how we played them, only one was very close to turn into the net and it was awesome but needed someone to touch it few inches away from Dida.

I agree with Helal that to judge Juve we need to see them playing Roma, Milan, Parma and the other big teams we faced. It’s a long journey and we show potential.

Be patient guys, be patient, be passionate and patient, it takes longer to build a future than destroying one.

Lecce is next, their place on the table is impressive, and we need the result and 3 points for sure, if we want to be serious contenders. We are allowed to miss 2 points with Milan but not with other smaller teams, cause simply we are quality too.

My regards to all,
Ray

Articles I read today and wanna share with u,

Juventus Won The Derby – Kaka
10/25/2004 3:36:00 PM Goal.com
Kaka’s excellent performance during the Milan derby was not enough for the rossoneri to win the three points.
The Brazilian ace procured yellow cards to the four Inter defenders during the match as he tried in vain to go past the nerazzurri’s defence on Sunday night.

“I’m past the small problem I had and on the pitch I’m moving quite well. Too bad I caused four yellow cards to four different players: it would have been better to concentrate on just two players…”

The Milan forward also admitted that despite the good performance, the ultimate winner of this derby was actually Juventus.

“In my opinion this derby was won by Juventus; a point each is too little. Five points away from the leaders is already enough, even though the season is long. Now let’s side against the bianconeri and try to do our best.”

Van Basten Pleased With Milan Derby
10/25/2004 3:20:00 PM Goal.com
The Milan Derby had a special guest present on the stands as Marco Van Basten returned to San Siro as a spectator.
The former rossonero player enjoyed the show offered by the two clubs even though the match ended in a goalless draw.

“It was a nice game, I saw two squads that wanted to hold the match in their hands. On the pitch there were many good players and despite the 0-0 the public watched a nice game.”

------------

Let me dream now, if we want a guy to give us the same work or better than Kaka, then we should get Ronaldinho, dreaming,, maybe but every new thing start from being a dream, there are talks that if he wants to get more mature in football, he needs a move to Serie A hmm dont wanna him to play but in Black& Blue, maybe in place of veron next season.

I didn't watch the match properly.

I've got the same problem, I didn't even care to look at what formations we were both using and sometimes was completely clueless to who was on the pitch and what subs were made. I seriously just wanted the game to end as a draw as soon as possible, Milan were really pushing for that goal in the 2nd half. How in the world Sheva didn't put atleast one of those chances in the back of the net is beyond me.

I think this was far from a dull game, though. I would have enjoyed it as a neutral and think there was enough mouth watering moves and goal opportunities to make up for it. No complaints in terms of entertainment, for the first 20 minutes of the game we looked like complete world beaters. We slowed down, but we still had some nice combinations and scoring opportunities. Simply irritating how Adriano does some fantastic dribbles beating his man and misses sitters. I've come to expect that from Bobo but from our Emperatore? come on!

The defense did it's job, but the midfield got annihilated in the 2nd half. We had Gattuso recovering all the loose balls and Kaka running circles around everyone, not only where we having trouble with the amount of offensive fire power that they've got but we have Veron being careless with the ball and not being able to string a couple of accurate passes together. How anyone can bash Cambiasso or Emre is beyond me, they were the only midfielders that showed up last night. Thank god for those two! Stankovic and Veron were a disgrace to put it lightly.

Anyways, a draw was a decent enough result for me to keep my head up. As we all know the real winner out of this is Juventus.

Juve definatley won. Now we're 8 points back and Milan are 5 instead of us being 5 back or Milan 2.

I don't know if it was boring or not but the first half certainly wasn't. It was a match of great quality. It was just a sheer joy, for the neutrals though, to watch a talent like Kaka and the duel between Adriano and Nesta, 2 of the best striker and defender today. It had less pace in the second but to call it boring is surely harsh.

I think that the expectation and hype placed on both teams, ecspecially Adriano and Shevchenko, is too much and hence it lead to the believe of the match being boring when neither manage to do well. I do think that some of us, me included, expected too much from Inter. Milan is the Champion and we our midfield has only been playing with each other for less than 10 times. It's very harsh to expect to get a win against Milan.

By the way, my commentator made a good comment when he commented on how ironic it was for Inter to lose its record of scoring in away matches for 12 consecutive times in San Siro. :D

All in all, we finally passed the Derby test, after failing miserably in the last 6 meetings. It's better to get a 'C' than 'E' or 'F', isn't it? And I am particularly happy that we managed to get our first clean sheet of the season (I don't count Werder's game as one because we played with 10 men for almost the whole game) ahead of the Lecce game. Lecce has been firing all guns blazing and are currently in second place.

Han, a very good post indeed.

And yeah, we have to think the positive aspects. It was a draw against the mighty Milan, to which we have lost for couple of years every time (Euro-derby was a defeat). And at least we grabbed the clean sheet, not bad at all considering our opponent.

Guys talking about Kaka, I asked your opinion on:

What do u think? look at him in his last match.... hmmmm better than Kaka and along Adriano, Nesta will retire early for sure.

Kaka is one of the best players in the world. Ronaldinho is the best of them all. Both extradinary players but I would take the latter in a phucking heartbeat!

Both are extraordinary but I found Kaka very under-rated. He is an incredible player perhaps doesn't receive the same media coverage as Ronaldinho because he's less flashy and showboating and I guess there is this perception that the Serie A is boring, even though the Derby was certainly more enjoyable that Man Utd - Arsenal.

If you ask me to choose between Kaka and Ronaldinho, I'd choose the former without a shadow of a doubt. The reason being that Kaka has been a Milan player. ;) But honestly, if Kaka is playing in some other club, I'd be having a dilemma since Kaka has already proven himself in the Serie A while we have no idea how Ronaldinho would fare with the tighter space and more physical environment in Serie A.

If you ask me if we are ever gonna get either of them, the answer is hell no unless the sun rises from the west.

Hence why most of us are dissappointed and negative. I´d rather draw a Micke Mouse club than Milan. Against Milan I only accept victories.
