Except not going for Kamada (because he would cost too much even as a free player, but I'd rather have Kamada than Sanchez), this Inter mercato went from bad (Lukaku, Onana) to having a rebirth of good ideas that actually make sense.

It's a shame we never had a chance for some of our targets, but at least it's quality we are chasing with our limited budget.

Kinda a more than solid 6/10, all things considering.

If the budget was really only from the sales, then theres a lot we could have done better. Even you could come up with players and deals we could have done with a budget of 100M+... but its not just the players, its also the time we wasted, especially on Sommer and the Samardzic deal, which we should have aborted the second his father came to town. There were also so many #1 options and none of them came. Like, how many cb's and attackers were on our list before we settled for Arnautovic. And the sale of Correa also came way too late, just go replace him with an easy, free option in Alexis, which i dont mind, cause everyone is better than correa, but it was an easy option.

Dude if you think you can solve everything at the first week of the transfer window then you should be a sporting director and apply your wisdom instead of retweeting and whining in FIF. No one has a crystal ball to determine if Samardzic's father is a sleazy bastard. If you paid Sommer's release clause straight from beginning, you would complain too because we did not try to haggle. And is it our fault that Marseille launched their bid for Correa now? Everyone knows we struggle to offload this piece of trash and good job to management to have a quite easily achievable clause to permanently sell him. Every transfer has its complexities and everyone knows negotiation of million dollars takes time except you.

Delusional... fans. Shocking.

I honestly don’t even bother replying to all that stuff… it’s just FM like idea of how the market works. With little to no grasp on the realities that Inter is currently in, that is just not worth it.

People act like there is some sort of magical money tree.

Also, every season itself is not in it's own bubble, because previous transfer windows (and monetary successes/failures) influence the current one.

It's easy to just spend money when you have a sugar daddy, it's different when you are in debt but need to spend to stay competitive.

Getting rid of Correa(getting Sanchez instead) and getting fucking Pavard. From Brozo, Lukaku and Samardzic shithousery they manage to save this mercato. Bravo! 7/10.

why so low tho? 7/10

We have no money and this isn't Fifa where I usually trade Dzeko + 10 million for Luis Diaz. De Vrij + 15 million for Timber.

I mean I remember some of you discussing Mbappe not as a joke at the start of the summer. Is that why you guys think our mercado hasn't been excellent

60 million for a free player was a awesome move. The Skriniar for free was a last year fk up not a current year one.

Resigned Bastoni to long term deal and got rid of all our dead wood. Our bench is much much stronger than last year.

For me only thing holding it back is resigning De Vrij on huge wages to be a sub.

People fail to realize we have $0 and can be outspent by Brenford or any other shit bottom feeder EPL team.

It was 2/10 before this day. Every potential good signing we were linked we failed to bring(Azpi, Lazo, Balogun), we lost our core players for peanuts or nothing (Brozo, Skriniar). We just managed to bring more old farts and unproven players. Getting rid of slug like Correa, buying top player like Pavard makes this much better now.

Concerning competitive ability the mercato has been decent to good with improved, or at least sustained, capacity at most positions. From a financial perspective it has been very good, despite getting low-balled for Brozo and overpaying for Arnautovic. All in all I think it has been well executed by the front office.

With Pavard in and everything as is, it's a solid 8/10 mercato imo. We got Pavard+Arnautovic for more or less the same than what we would have if we had gone for Lukaku, thats a huge W imo.

This is precisely what some of us suggested, we didn't need to buy Lukaku as it's much better to reinforce other areas, but we got ridiculed by a handful of people :D . This is great work by our management and credit given when credit is due.

I guess after Pavard, no more incoming transfer?
Another midfielder or forward could arrive. I think we're still one midfielder short. Pereyra is still available I guess? His versatility could prove useful.

Ladies and Gentlemen, that was the craziest and pazza mercato of Inter I've been witnessed in my life. It was absolutely insane.
I put aside all the drama around Lukaku, Samardzic, Pavard etc., and will share my thoughts about the mercato:
Goalkeeper - We downgraded a lot here. Handanovic and Onana >>> Sommer, Aduero. But..., it looks like Sommer is not bad shot stopper for now. he actually could be even better than Onana in this aspect, but his ballplaying skill is poor, and we'll suffer against stronger opponents. The first test will be against Fiorentina, because they also like to press high, as I've seen in their last match. Rating: 3/10
Defense - For me, we actually improved in this department. Pavard is better than Skriniar for RCB position, and the rest is more or less the same. Bisseck won't get so many chances, same as DD last season, so I don't think he will be impactful to worth mentioning him. Unless he fuckes it up big time. My rating: 6/10
Wingbacks - Huge upgrade here. Cuntdrado and Augusto are much better fit than Gosens and Bellanova. We've already seen that Dumfries got his shit together with a quality player breathing down in his neck. Rating: 7.5/10
Midfield: Despite losing a Brozo, my opinion is that we have a better midfield than last season. Frattesi and Sensi are decent bench option, and Asllani is also more experienced and used to his teammates than the last season. Rating: 7.5/10
Forewards - Again, I think that we are better than last year. Thuram is not a goalscorer, but he looks lively, pressing, has a pace and nice dribbling. He is the player that Correa was supposed to be. Arnautovic is better than Dzeko's corpse and he will be fine for us. We all know Alexis and his pros and cons, so I won't dig into him at all. The negative side is that we don't have a type of player like Lukaka or Dzeko. I don't know how this will affect the team, but it's up to Inzaghi to find a solution how to integrate the new attackers. But let's not forget that Arnautovic and Sanchez are oldies, so the attack shall be rejuvenated soon again. Rating: 6/10
At the end, the management were able to get rid of Correa, Lazaro, Gagliardini, and Dalbert, regardless that the latter two had their contracts expire. This deserves +1 itself, so my total apprisal is 7/10.
Anyway, considering the difficulties which Marotta and co have overcome, maybe they deserve even more.

The most interesting in this Mercato is how we spend Onana money.

Sommer, Arnautovic, and Pavard.

Onana, Lakaka, and Skriniar.

Three Players who have good reputation replaced with underrated player.

The only possible upgrade is Pavard, but yes, I agree, Onana unlocked something good for us. While Lukaku could still be good for us (with better numbers than Arna will have), I'm glad the deal failed. Ever since that interview at Chelsea, I get second hand embarrassment just by association.

Unpopular opinion I guess, but we've made a better mercato than Milan's which I think is overrated.
