This Icardi haters/lovers thing is getting boring. He is not bad, some of us just like other kinds of strikers more.

Of course it's shitty that people make it out to be you either have to be on one side of the fence or the other. But what's tad annoying is that we complain a lot about not having young star players, who could potentially dominate their position in years to come, not given the right support/patience by the club and yet for once here we have both of those factors aligned. Numbers show how amazing of a striker Icardi is and the club is right behind him (not willing to sell him for crazy money and giving him the arm band, regardless of how effective he is as a captain).

And still fans manage to find ways to undermine him. I swear if he played for any other club people wouldn't be so critical of him, examples include Harry Kane or Lukaku, both of whom have glaring limitations such as Icardi.

Just to back this up, I saw the Spurs-Monaco game last night and Harry Kane had the most 'Icardi at his worst-esque' performance I've seen. Little to no involvement, failed some easy passes, etc. However, when the ball fell to him and he could have made the difference in the last minutes of the game, he fired the shot directly at the goalkeeper while I'm fairly sure Icardi would have slotted it away due his insane coolness in front of goal. Of course I'm biased as both an Inter fan and and Icardi fan but we really should just be grateful that for once we have a young potential star of the game playing for us.

And he him self was like there is no need to compare me with Ronaldo, Ronaldo was on a whole other level and imho the best striker serie A has ever seen.

icardi is gonna be a world-class striker who scores a lot of goals but his contribution other than the goals themselves will be pretty abysmal.
sort of like Pele vs. Gerd Muller where Muller a prolific goalscorer but Pele was everything... though obviously Icardi is light years away from that level of legendariness to begin with

Not taking anything away from Icardi, but many of Ibra's goals came with individual work. Also Ibra has definitely made more assists or more direct contributions with his teammates' goals, again with individual work.

I'd say a more suitable comparison would be with Inzaghi, Vieri, Gilardino, Toni, Crespo etc.

Im fucking 100% sure there's a group, headed by the fucking disgrace of a player Mascherano, cuz he's their fucking leader, who are against Icardi. It's incredible that they keep calling Pratto or Alario ahead of Icardi.
Oh well one more reason not to cheer for that piece of shit Mascherano and his clan at the NT.
