Celtic will NEVER release him.

He's being linked with Barcelona, so it's not at all impossible he will be sold, for the right price. Considering Celtic bought him for 2,5 million pounds a year ago, I doubt the price will be too great.

Still, I hope to keep Figo. He's reliable even though he's not at his best at all times.

I cant believe some of what I am hearing here. Figo was huge for us last year and without him we would have been in dire straits in more than one game. This year's Inter side is much faster, physical and dynamic, characteristics he no longer possesses. It is no wonder that with this switch in system he has become of less use to the team.

But, to see people here come out and say that he is a worthless, useless piece of trash is ludicrous.

I will be sad to see such a footballing statesmen leave us and I will continue to keep hope that he will stay with us until it is finally announced.

It looks like Figo is on his way out or else Mancini or Moratti would have come out to stop the rumours. Pity cuz he was a big asset for the team, but I kinda saw it coming when Mancini started Solari ahead of him, then rearranged the team and put Dejan in his spot, and Zanetti in MF just to keep Figo out. He is unlikely to stay in a club where he is not starting like how he left Madrid.

What we need to look at now is who will replace him.Mancini will likely keep with 4312 which keeps out Camo, Nasri, Quaresma (my favorite) and hopefully Beckham. I foresee Jiminez coming in, with Dejan moving back in midfield and Zanetti moving back to RB. I really want Moratti to get Messi, but thats unlikely. I personally think that everyone is overlooking Riquelme. It is true that he isnt doing much right now but all that means is that his price would be lower. Added to all that is that Moratti is a fan. It is true that he is quite slow (like Figo) but we can get around it. 1 SerieA is slow anyway, 2 we can use Argentina's formation in the WC which really maximized Riquelme. Vieira in Mascherano's spot, Dejan in Maxi's spot, Cucho reprising. Whoever comes, I think a no.10 player will be the best thing for the team. Im still scared Beckam will come tho.

Figo is a mercenary but a damn good one. That's all I have to say. I can't believe people are underrating Figo again even though he's on top of the assists list this season, despite not starting in half the games.

I am definitely not the one here, who wants Figo out NOR the one who says Figo loves Inter.

The fact is that he's not had a that good season compared to last season's BUT he's still been useful coming on as a sub AND we have just completed the first half of the season to judge him. We will need our best players as we go for the final drive in Serie and also remember that Figo could be very useful for our Champions League campaign.

Well, nothing is official yet. Transfers can be dealt when the transfer window opens, and it opens after the New Year. Inter.it publish transfer news just when they are official, meaning when the signings has been done and appropriate papers have been delivered to Lega Calcio offices (or somewhere) where the transfers will come valid.

This doesn't surprise me Figo has and will always be a mercenary. We have to thank him for the service he provided us in the 1 and a half season he send here. He did his job.

I am sure we will be able to cope even if he goes. Solari is more than capable.
