I had so much to write about this guy but since i left it for last now i am too tired from writing to the other threads :p.

So i will just say that i am really disappointed. I remember him as a coach who in a derby vs Lazio benched both Totti (in his prime) and De Rossi during 1st half because they were feeling too much the game showing great balls.
But unfortunately i am not seeing these balls in here. He is always doing the easy thing in term of group management . Honestly i expected some harsh decisions during this 2 month streak.

I love how allegri benches his most quality players if he thinks they are under performing and even publicly admits it most of the time. In 99% of the times they have got back stronger (look at higuain/dybala mgmnt this year) and even the player itself suffers this decision the team overall comes up stronger because they feel more responsible. While in here Perisic-Icardi-Candreva have played all the matches during this bad streak with the same fucking result.

I know that our bench is not strong but playing with underperforming startes is not the solution and karamoh today proved that. If milan can play with fucking Cutrone we can do the same ffs

he said in the presser that: 1. miranda has a sprain, in the coming days will be able to say for how long he will have to stay out; 2. karamoh felt a "hardening" of the muscle (my guess: either simple cramps or contracture); 3. he chose l. lopez over ranocchia because he needed someone faster, in order to "press" palacio.

That would explain why Karamoh was subbed out instead of Perisic. But that does not explain why he brought in Gagliardini instead of Candreva against 10 men at San Siro. We should have been going after that 3rd goal to close out the game, not try and preserve our single goal lead

Someone "faster" to press Palacio?????

Italian: bisognava pressare uno rapido come Palacio.

rough translation: it was necessary to press a player fast like palacio.

Yo, Ranocchia, you're not fast enough to press a 36-year-old striker.

I honestly think he just wanted to give Lisandro some minutes when the opportunity presented itself and rationalised an excuse out of his arse.

I actually thought the 4-3-1-2 worked well for us today. Seems like Spalletti agrees.

Now that we’ve won I can think with a clearer head. We dominated today for large spells. At times the fear kicked in and we retreated but even then we didn’t look nearly as bad as we did with the 4-2-3-1.

I’ll be interested to see if Spalletti will give Karamoh another chance if Icardi is back next week or if he goes with Eder.

Can someone explain what were the formations yesterday? 4-2-3-1 or something else?

It was 4-3-1-2 and what looked like a 4-2-3-1 for a time in the second half, but we finished again playing a 4-3-1-2, as far as I could tell.

I'm not sure Spalletti will continue with 4-3-1-2, I'd imagine it makes him terribly nervous :D

Thanks!!

Who played which position? Not even one live score site reported lineup in such shape so I'm trying to figure out.

Even Inter.it reported it as 4-3-3 (based on placement of ";" in the lineup they reported)

I highly doubt he would be here next season. He is calling for his sacking every single mach with his lineups or illogical subs.

Spalletti: 'No depression at Inter'

Luciano Spalletti insists there is no “depression” at Inter, even with injury woes against Genoa, and urged fans to “support our players, not those who might arrive.”

It kicks off on Saturday at 19.45 GMT, click here for a match preview.

Ivan Perisic, Mauro Icardi and Joao Miranda are not making the trip due to muscular issues.

“These are players we’d all rather have in the team at all times, but we didn’t see the development we wanted in training and it was better not to risk it. We have other players who have responded well when called upon,” said the Coach in his Press conference.

Spalletti was asked if January signing Rafinha was ready for his first Serie A start.

“That depends on how you look at it. I don’t tell you my line-up the day before a game. He has helped us, but if he does start then there are times during a game where we’ll have to cover for him.

“I won’t stand for criticism of Borja Valero’s fitness levels, as if you look at the statistics and the running he does, you’ll see there’s no issue. Marcelo Brozovic will not start tomorrow, as I have chosen someone else.”

Inter beat nine-man Bologna for their first victory of 2018, but despite that poor run of results, they are in third place.

“Keep the depressing people away from us,” shrugged Spalletti. “We at Inter have no depression. We know the path we have taken to reach third place today, though clearly we could’ve done other things better.

“I didn’t particularly like the performance against Bologna, especially when we had the extra man, but we are capable of going to Marassi and beating a stratospheric Genoa that has been the third best side in Serie A since Davide Ballardini took over.

“There will be a passionate atmosphere in the stands that bleeds through to the players, but I maintain we are capable of winning and that is what we’re going for.”

The increasingly irritated Coach also hit out at the media for some of today’s headlines on the transfer market.

“It creates problems for me if there is talk of a ‘revolution,’ because everyone reads the papers. I thought of asking the club to create a third team, so we have the main squad, the women’s team and then a third virtual side made up of all the players people say we’re going to sign.

“People talked about Daniel Sturridge coming in to replace Eder. Well, Sturridge is injured now and if Eder hadn’t scored over the last couple of games to rescue a few points, we’d have been stranded. Someone met Eder and told him he ought to leave to bring in Sturridge. The fans should support our players, not those who are in some virtual Inter team.

“It’s true Inter have not expressed themselves to their full potential yet. We were growing and growing, there was a bump in the road and that caused us problems, but overall the situation is fine.

“I want to also point out to those who loved telling us we were just lucky at the start of the season that we’ve hit the woodwork more times than any other side.”

Spalletti bites back at Roma :D

Inter boss Luciano Spalletti aimed a few sideswipes at his old club Roma, Eusebio Di Francesco and Francesco Totti.

Spalletti held his Press conference this afternoon and was asked about comments made by Roma Coach Di Francesco, referring to teams ahead of them in the table who barely had a shot on goal.

“There are other sides ahead of Roma too,” noted Spalletti. “If he was referring to us, and it wouldn’t be the first time, I say that I agree with him.

“Roma could’ve been much higher up the table, as in previous years they would’ve been challenging for the Scudetto along with Juventus and Napoli. I assume that’s what he’s referring to.” :troll:

This week, Totti also reiterated he disliked the way Spalletti handled his last season and warned there would “never” be a clarification between them.

“Totti expressed himself unequivocally. I was always open to him and always will be. If that’s the way he feels, then I’m sorry, but it marks a definitive point. There’s nothing I can do about it.”

According to Tuttosport, Spalletti is trying to put the bad results behind and also at the same time, the Inter coach is also working on the team chemistry. “Because between the obligatory breakfast, morning training, group lunch and afternoon session, the players are at Pinetina between seven to eight hours a day: arriving at 9-10 am in the morning and leaving at 5-6 pm. A lot of work but also words to try to overcome the difficulties of the last couple of months.”

Roma fans could call them mindgames, I don't know, but the way Di Francesco is making references to Inter, sometimes without even mentioning the name, again and again since August the 26th, even out of nowhere and out of context, speaks for real saltiness #threeposts
He held a similar grudge against Milan and the referees for the entire last season, after the controversial game at San Siro... Milan fans were making fun of his obsession.
I guess Vecino's header added more salt.

Anyway, for the second time, Spalletti denounced the presence of a "mole" inside the club that leaks private informations to the media (summer tournèe in China), and claimed that he will ask Zhang to do something about it.
He said the same thing before Inter-Crotone: a couple of days later, Corriere dello Sport published the harsh truths that Spalletti shared with Roma fans... three weeks before (timing was impeccable, almost as someone gave the green light).
I'm no conspiracy theorist, but I still wonder who the mole is and which faction he is working for.
