Come on, Barella won the Euro and reached CL final with us, Brozovic reached WC final and semis and sure, he wasn't around to help us reach CL final but it's not like he'd be detrimental to the cause.

We almost won beating like Porto, Benfica and our cousins. We won then by beating the champions of England, Spain and Germany. Big difference.

2010 team is a legend on their own, but the direct comparison doesn't work, football was different 10+ years ago.
It was also a very different way approaching the game back in 2009/2010 for us, the midfield didn't exactly battle for control, it was a perfect shield for the D-line and pin point efficient attack.
This midfield gives us fluid plays and also multi dimensions of approaching the game, just think about having a DLP and not having one in the lineup can both work for us now.
In football, it is quite foolish to compare player to player to evaluate the strength of the teams IMHO, like I highly doubt Xavi and Iniesta would think they are a better player than Zidane, but you can tell the 2008/2009 Barca midfield will boss the France 2006 midfield all day.

I agree it can be difficult, but it's not imo completely incomparable. We can safely say, for example, that Milito was a better player than than say Icardi.
