Agreed. Lautaro never struck me as a small-game or a big-game player. He's had great games against both good teams and weaker ones.
Even in the CL where he's gotten criticism for not scoring much - he only has 3 goals in the last 3 seasons, but they were actually against the biggest teams we faced - Real Madrid, Liverpool, and Barca - all away games. Meanwhile, he failed to score vs. Sheriff, Plzen, and Shakhtar, so it's not about the strength of the opponent.
At the end of the day, he's still by far our best attacker in my opinion. Since the Napoli game, I believe all our wins in Serie A had Lautaro scoring (Verona, Cremonese, Milan, Udinese, Lecce). The problem is that no other attacker has stepped up for us in 2023 and we are already in April (only exceptions being Dzeko vs. Napoli and Lukaku vs. Porto).
