Notice how in the build-up to his goal, Lautaro pauses his run (while Lukaku attacks the forward space) to provide an option in between the midfield passer and forwardmost attacker.



Like I said during the game, it wouldn't be Lautaro if he didn't make some poor decisions on the ball. And while it's only been a couple of games of course, I feel like it's becoming a more established fixture of how we play I hope to see even more of this.

Exactly. I don't get this constant, year in year out moaning about his finishing. Lautaro is what he is, he's not Icardi-level finisher. But he's a lot more in other aspects of the game. If there was the world class finishing on top, we wouldn't have Lautaro anymore, he'd be at Man City etc already.

Let's enjoy what Inter have in him.

Not necessarily, we still have Brozo, Barella, Bastoni, Skrinair, etc, around, for how long remains to be seen, but lets not look for random ways to excuse the mediocracy of Lautoro's game. There're areas where he needs to improve and going by last nights game, he's on the right trajectory.

Obviously still good but there's a big difference between a 0.6 and a 0.41 strike rate.
