Tonight's defeat marks the end to our Scudetto ambitions. Not because we basically lost the second season-defining game in a row, but rather because of how we completely collapsed after juve took the lead. We played a decent game for the first hour or so, occupying the field in an orderly manner and trying to hit them back whenever possible, even though we always seemed to lack a bit of bite in the final third. But the way we stopped playing as soon as we conceded, boy, that is a really hard pill to swallow.

A team which really aims to win can lose a big game, but they don't just disappear from the field as soon as things go South. Tonight we let juve toy with us for a good 20 minutes, shipping another goal before we finally tried to stage some sort of reaction. That's literally unacceptable.

As I wrote several times in the past few months, pretty much all the other Serie A coaches have found the countermeasures to our game plan, and it's becoming increasingly harder for us to create chances. A problem that compounds itself the stronger our opponents are, obviously. The real letdown of tonight's performance, aside from our post-goal blackout, was realising that we still don't have a coherent and thought-out plan B. Conte has - indeed - started experimenting with the 4-men defence as of late, but it's becoming painfully clear that he considers any alternative to the 3-5-2 formation nothing more than a desperation (and rather impromptu) move.

Another thing that baffles me is the way he's been using Eriksen. Even admitting that he wasn't perfectly match fit when he joined (which was probably the case), by now he should have gained an acceptable shape. I realise he didn't have a significant impact on today's game, yet I don't understand how a player of his undeniable technical ability seems to be only seen as a last resort card to be played when we're trailing. Quality should be the pillar upon which to build the team, not a weapon to use when physicality fails.

Just look at Man Utd how one player made a difference, I believe we are going in right direction, but we are still missing that something special, player that makes every other player better, proper WC.

Out biggest mistake whole season is not selling Vecino in January, at least he would not be here and therefore force conte to play someone else.

That was the same second half at signal iduna park against dortmund, their wingers are fast and actively ran into spaces creating chances. I can’t believe we repeat the samE mistake

Nothing to do with the game, but I’m a huge fan of Guz’s summaries

Which reminds me, whatever happened to Dogen? That guy also had a way with words.

I can accept being beat by a better team, but a team giving up is unacceptable. After their goal we crumbled. I turned the match off at 80 mind because I knew it was over, I never do that. Shameful display

This is going to be massive for juve's confidence in the league now.. Lazio will face Atalanta followed by Fiorentina, Torino, Milan, etc so have some pretty tough games to get through if they want to stay near the top.

We on the otherhand will probably continue to have some shit performances as no doubt the players will have lost motivation after realizing that they're pretty much fucked, being 9 points off (with a game in hand) and will lose via head to head even if we catch juve.

Have you seen us against the big teams? Conte has been outplayed by Rhino, Izaghi , Sarri and throughly. If we get to Coppa final vs Sarri he will be outplayed for the 3rd time. And when he loses yet again he will bring out excuses of ' we are 7 years behind ..' or shit like that.

We've been total sack of shits in derby'd'Italia this season.

I was actually impressed with us from between the 20 minute mark and up until we conceded the first goal. I was then disgusted in how we dropped right off after conceding, as if the players couldn't care less and just plain gave up !

Forza Lazio.

The only positive note after yesterday's defeat is that we can stop dreaming about the Scudetto. For now we should focus on securing the CL spot and after that we should try to win one of the Coppa or EL to have at least no zero tituli season.

After 2/3 of the season I have to admit that I am quite of disappointed in Conte. We all knew that he was stubborn, but how he is handling the Eriksen situation is freaking ridiculous. In yesterday's game like the games before all the subs came way too late or even very odd.

Changing the running engine Barella against Eriksen who is not a fighter and putting Eriksen not in the trequarista position is retarded. The sub of Lukaku against Alexis was ok, but too late and the lust sub of getting in Gags was the joke of the day.

I like the 3-5-2 formation, but you have to adapt to the situation in every game and if needed, change it.

With the squad we got this season it's no miracle to be in our position - tbh even Spallo could have reached this.

We shouldn't fire Conte, but we have to make it clear to him that he is not untouchable and that he has to put his ego aside sometimes.

Let's look forward to the EL game and I really hope for a set back and a starting role for Eriksen - in the trequarista position!!

Way to gift juve the keys and the driving seat to the scudetto, Inter. Again. That too, on your own anniversary day. Nice.

We’re at 3 losses in our last 4 games btw, counting non-Ludogorets opponents.

Seems like the closed stadium affected both squads in equal amounts but at opposite ends of the spectrum: juve took the benefits of playing in a closed ground and played at a leisurely stroll - fitting, considering the amount of difficulty we placed on them equated to that of a light training session. Without the pressure of a full stadium, they played a relaxed game and were able to get the 3 points with minimal fuss. Following our mental collapse after the Ramsey goal, this pre-season game turned even more farcical with juventus essentially playing keep-ball and toying with us like a light-hearted possession training drill.

Us, on the other hand, we also took it like a training session but in the worst way possible. Barring a 30 minute period where we looked good (but which yielded only 1 shot on target and a lack of dangerous chances) we couldn't even get motivated to close down or contest the ball properly.

Good shit, boys. I hope you're fucking proud of yourselves.

That performance was so embarrassing but oddly so lethargic it sapped my will to be annoyed as I would usually be following such a pathetic display, let alone against juventus. Normally (and I say "normally" because playing like fucking pussies and getting easily beat by juve is normal to us now), I'm hoping against hope until the full time whistle, and then still seething for hours after the game. Today though, I was mentally done with that match at the 70th minute and as soon as the full time whistle went, the game more or less skipped my mind for the rest of the day. How poor can a game be that it comes with self-erase function built into it.

Steven Zhang ranting on instagram, Marotta raging on every TV channel, newspaper and radio station, the Curva Nord hanging "Calciopoli 2.0" banners in front of the Lega headquarters.. don't get me wrong, they're all completely right and I support them 100%. But all that fucking moaning, only to culminate with a performance like this? This is exactly why those shitlords disrespect us and fuck our schedule around in the first place. Because they know we'll bitch and moan, we'll kick up a fuss, we'll talk the talk but ultimately, never walk the walk. Now to get eliminated from the EL so they can easily reschedule our Sampdoria game and say "see? what was all the fuss about?"

juventus thank us btw for the light run-out and low-effort 3 points. Regulation win if I ever saw one.

Remaining games except Samp:

H US Sassuolo

A Parma Calcio

H Brescia Calcio

H Bologna FC

A Hellas Verona

H Torino FC

A SPAL

A AS Roma

H ACF Fiorentina

A Genoa CFC

H SSC Napoli

A Atalanta BC

The schedule is not that bad except the last two matches but till then we should have already secured our CL spot and avoid the dramatic last day of the season...

Yeah, the 'nice' remaining schedule and being -6* from Juve probably means the EL becomes our main target for the season. Just make sure to shore up 3rd place and try to win that Coppa semi-final, if we ever play it.

*assuming we win/even play the Samp game.

Now apprently the situation is: If Uefa accepts to postopone the Euro, we can finish the league in June. If not, the league is over. No winner, no new teams from Serie B, Juve Lazio Inter and Atalanta qualifed for CL, Roma Napoli EL.

Should probably postpone the Euros anyway, more time to understand and manage the situation.

Well, Infantino said that it's not to esclude that the Euro will be postponed. But till now i don't saw other statements from the UEFA. They need to postpone the euro a whole month after. And many don't care about this virus, only in Italy. In other nations they give a fuck specialy in germany. So we need to see if they will accept this or see as "not enough" to postpone the Euro.

Embarrassing game. We played like an incel - accusing everyone and everything, but not doing anything ourselves, completely bombing our chance of getting laid in the process. We didn't even try to show up and that would be enough to just mount a challenge. Fucking Lyon showed more balls than this Inter. Disgusting really.

Yeah, the sad thing is that Juventus have looked better against Inter than any other team this season. Watching them play against Spal, Bologna, etc. they seemed to struggle much more. And it's not just because those are 'defensive' teams - Lazio put 6 goals past them over 2 games as well.
