I remember a certain someone who claimed before the season started, that Cruz should be a starter this season based on his goal pr game stats last season.

I also remember that someone being gunned down by several "great" :lala: reply's that "cruz is only good as a sub", from just about every user here.

:howler: I love being right.

Yeah, it was thoughtless then and it's just as thoughtless now.
At the time you said it Cruz had ALWAYS played poor as a starter, and he once again failed in the first match of the season when he got his chance. I have never doubted Cruz's talent, only his ability to get the most out of it from the first minute. If a player can't play well from the start, regerdless of his goal per minute ratio, he shouldn't start.

Obviously, he has now proved he can play as a starter, upped his game outside of the box and deserves his spot in the first team.

We really need to search the records. Anyone who has scored more than him against the Gobbi?

Inter players solely, this decade, definitely nobody has scored against Juve more than Cruz.

Maybe Shevchenko can challenge him for that though. Not too sure...

And now Cruz has spoken out.

He says even when he was at Bologna, he felt that Juve were cheating their way through :proud:

I wasn't suprised at all to see Julios coments. Didn't he denied Roma, for an Inter bench role ? (that's not a question BTW).

Julio said many times he intends to finish his career with Inter, and I'm glad he did say what he feels again.

Came to think of when Cruz' latest goal in the league was. It actually was the 1-1 goal in the derby. That's three months....

We definitely need to sell either him or Crespo this summer. Both have been too inconsistent and IMO it is due to their age. However, they are still very experienced strikers and we need that kind of player as a back up.

I dont think neither of them should be sold to be honest.

Crespo is not our player. He is on loan. It will be difficult to sell him :D

Wrong. Crespo has a contract deal with Inter which kicks in when the season ends. He has an Inter deal for 2 more season after this one. His chelsea deal ends in the summer but he already has a signed Inter deal which activates in the summer.

But one of cruz/crespo has to go. We have to give mario more chances and maybe give adri/a new striker also room.

Keeping both Cruz and Crespo would be a mistake. We need to start the change of generation up front this summer, if not we'll end up having to substitute two or three strikers in one summer, which is not good for our continuity.

I agree that we should sell one of them, but i somehow can t decide who should leave. I mean both are great strikers and could be very useful. Anyway somehow i think crespo could deliver more next season, but the past clearly speaks for cruz i mean he s been huge in the first part of this season.

I'm for selling either Cruz or Crespo at the end of the season, but if I had a choice, I'd prefer Cruz to stay and Crespo leaving. Crespo really hasn't showed us much, and Cruz can still be a decent substitute.

I really want to see Balotelli and Suazo starting more games though.

Sell Cruz, useless player, no pace, players like him should be playing for teams like Parma or Empoli notching decent 12 goal seasons.

Or he can stay but he would have to be 5th choice striker.
