It'd be fucking idiotic not to go for Mourinho. Conte is a good coach and I don't doubt his professionalism when he takes the job (all Juve past is put aside), but I see Mourinho's character, ideas and approach more suited to a place like Inter.

I really hope that the former Inter players and staff can put enough pressure on Marotta and Suning to go for Mourinho instead. I also hope Conte snubs us for another club and get done with this. Allegri will never consider Inter because that would be a downgrade for him at this point.

I can see some hope.

I see no hope. Marotta decides and so it's correct. We need to prepare our stomach for a Rube legend who would play a modern 3-5-2! I could guess he would wear a white&black undershirt!

The point he makes about Inter fans being more lenient towards Mou than Conte is spot on. Conte won't finish the season with us. Not because he's a shit coach, but because he'll get flamed at the first sign of distress by the same moronic impatient fans who call for Spalletti's sack after every unpleasant result.

That reason alone should be enough to put Mourinho above Conte in our shortlist. But Marotta sees it differently it seems.

It's funny how the gobbo makes much more sense for Inter things than the portrayed Interista.

I am really stuck with these two options. I would select Jose any day, but I really started liking Marotta. We finally hired someone who has balls and who actually cares about discipline. But it feels like if we hire Jose then there will be a lot of troubles between him and the CEO. On the other hand, if we hire Conte after hiring Beppe and signing Asamoah it all looks like Inter is suffering some kind of Stockholm syndrome...

None of you know what's going on in the background. You all base your assumptions on some news articles. Yes, yes, when there is smoke, there is fire, but still.... be cautious in believing what you read.

Remember the past when certain players would be coming to Inter, Interisti did not welcome but could only entertain the idea.. Might (hope! :datass:) be the same with Cunte

Someone could write a dystopian novel adding "Mourinho to Juventus" on top of the apparently soon-to-be announced "Conte to Inter". Or an episode of Black Mirror, if they need some background in showing and developing the consequences of modern society and new technologies in football.

Conte would claim not to know how many scudetti Juve have, but also make clear that "court verdicts should be respected".
Halfway through the season, after a few astonishing and Abiss-esque VAR decisions against us, he would make a shocking u-turn from that afternoon of April 1998 and start with admitting that referee Ceccarini had a shameful game back in the day: "I think Ronie was right”.

Mourinho would begin his first press-conference saying “I'm not a piciu” (piemontese version of the famous “pirla”, idiot).
During the season, responding to accusations about the lack of competitiveness in Serie A, he would name-call the scudetti won by Mancini (this time publicly). And, following the "noise from his enemies” in England/Spain and controversy, we'd see the handcuff gesture in Europe.

Only then UEFA and ECA would unleash the European Super League format.

Everything would look "agghiaggiande” (chilling, pronouncing ala Conte), but not that crazy, to be fair.
Now, Paolo Di Canio sitting on Roma's bench and running towards the Curva Sud to celebrate a derby-winning goal for “A Maggica” against Lazio, in an even more meaningless Serie A... that would be something post-apocalyptic.

(How long until Inter-Empoli?)

And now, this is real good and sets things straight.

Jose you have me praying that you've been in discussions with the club all along and that the club are about to swing a major surprise here and unveil you at the weekend.

Man, I was thinking the exact same thing. I think it was wishful thinking on our behalf.

I wonder what he is thinking now that Conte has been announced?

He will not recognize it but i'm sure he is disappointed of getting behind Zidane and Conte for those 2 jobs.

I would not be MAD at him if he go to Roma (Milan or RuBe is a different story). In fact i think he can do better in a team like Valencia or Roma, than a team like Manchester United.

I’m gutted we didn’t sign him back! I’m pretty sure he would have been content to stay longer than 2 years this time too.

I’m praying he doesn’t sign of AC or Rube!!

Out of pure curiosity
This has totally nothing to do with Mourinho

But how many managers have successfully gone back to their previous club?

I guess you'd have to say Lippi's 2nd stint in Juve is a success. Mourinho - Chelsea is not bad either. Zidane - Madrid hasn't looked good so far but it's too soon. Mancini back to Inter was a Goddamn disaster. Cappelo & Sacchi's 2nd spells at Milan were God awful. Can't think of anyone else at the moment.

Capello to Madrid wasn't bad.
Heynckes to Munich the second stint was most successful but that is after 20 years.

It depends on the manager and the state of the club at the time. Mancini was always gonna be doomed here but if u think of our status then anyone would have failed.

let Conte build a scudetto winning team. Our current squad isn't mentally ready for Jose's ambitions. Conte on the other looks more suited for our current stage. 2 years later we will progress to the next stage where Jose will be the one who will lead us to triumphs.

I watched all that, and now I’m uncomfortable myself, more uncomfortable then Mou and Wenger look, sitting and having to agree with each other in this video :D

“Who can win the this competition next year? Juventus, Bayern, PSG, Real Madrid, Atletico and Liverpool. Inter? Inter have a good squad, new project and lots of money to invest but I think it will take them longer, maybe a couple of years.” - Mourinho

I guess he wants to get back in 2-3 years when Pep will train juBentus :D
