I don't think anyone was overly impressed. It's just that we had such low expectations and then were surprised to see he is not halfbad.

Also you need to consider that he is coming from a different league, hasn't played much in the last 6 months and showed an ok performances against two tough teams, Lazio and Milan. So hopefully he has a lot of room for improvement.

Man, every RB LB except in Inter are moving ball forward. Only in Inter ours trained to do backpass , even our midfielder did that.

I agree. Tbh he's the only reason we even had a chance of winning that game. Won the free kick, then played a peach of a deadball into Icardi.

I want us to sign him but the problem is he costs a lot and we have more important roles that we need to fill in.

This coming summer we have to pay 20 million for Gagliardini and if we decide to sign Cancelo for 30 million that's 50 million. How much money would be left to sign a defender and an AM? Specially if Valencia don't buy Kondogbia.

Even if Valencia buy Kondogbia, it's going to be hard paying 30 million for Cancelo when we have more important positions to fill in, CB and AM.

I'm guessing this is going to be another Rolando case. The player would want to stay, we would want to buy him but try to low ball Valencia into accepting a lower price and eventually end up losing the player.

Let's not get our hopes up like every year. As of our current state, we don't have much chance of getting a CL spot.

Im looking forward to getting DDA back and being able to see him play as on RW. Hes been brilliant, still looks like hea struggling with match fitness for 90 mins though so im sure he will get even better in the coming weeks. Might be a good game for him at RW vs Roma to exploit gaps behind kolarov when he goes forward and hopefully peg him back. Hes been one of romas best attacking players this season

Agreed, not every attacking minded fullbacks can act as wingers, remember Maicon? But if we can afford to try things I wouldnt mind, it would be nice to bench Candreva.
