The real problem here is that he is lazy as fuck and never really gave two fucks, why should that change now?
Even in the WC this mofo simply did not bother a lot of the time, fucker loses the ball and then casually walks back to defend. There is simply no urgency in his game, 90% of the time he looks like he s involved in some pick up game at the park against some kids so he does not put in too much effort in order not to embarrass the kids.

He is talented but there is something wrong in his head and i dont think inter is the place to fix that.

Only solution is to drop him and make him work his way back in with a fighting attitude. Try and bring back the Vecino of the start of last season.

I call him Joy Mario, because he brings happiness to people's lives. His beautiful, gentle smile brightens up a room like no one else, and caresses the very depths of your soul.

The only joy he brought was to his agent, Portuguese club and himself. But to Inter he has been nothing but a total disaster.

Both were shit signings, but at least Gabigol is away on loan and having the best season of his career so far (15 goals from 34 games). Also, Gabigol cost 10m less, his wages are much lower, and he is 4 years younger. Its a tough call between two turds, but I think Joao Mario may be worse, even perhaps our worst buy in history.

Fucking Kia, I hate that bastard.

They are at the same wage.

I don't know which one is worse, a completely shitty player whom no one is willing to pay at all (Gabi) or a better player but keeping rejecting all offers (Mario) :palm:

João Mario: Football's new Mousa Dembélé?
https://www.serpentsofmadonnina.com/2018/8/16/17697132/joao-mario-footballs-new-mousa-dembele

I thought this was an interesting article. Admittedly, it led me to look at Joao Mario in a different way. That is not to say that I am thrilled about him staying at Inter or that I like him as a footballer but recovering him as a footballer and contributor and finding his ideal position could only benefit Inter.

Interesting article

While there are similarities between the career trajectories and positional confusion as the article points out, there are some key differences which the article largely ignores:

1. Dembele's ability to hold the ball is exceptional, you can't take the ball from him. Mario is quite average in this regard.

2. Dembele is good at disrupting attacks, "sticking his foot out" as the article admits, Mario hasn't yet shown much in this regard.

3. Grinta. No need to explain this one.

Mario will have to seriously improve his defensive abilities in order to become useful for Inter. With his attitude, that sounds quite unlikely.

Prefers he stays he sucks in January then let him leave on cheaply and take the loss

Sending him to Turkey who can pay his wages but will never pay 20+ million for him is stupid. His value can only go down

Wait till the EPL transfer window opens open again and hope for the best

I think it is best to take the loss now when his age isn't a problem and sell him to a Turkish club. The problem is if he stays, Spalletti in one of his despair moments which are many by the way, he will use him and this could cause us to lose points. In addition, Mario is bad influence.

If Brozo continues to not be at his best, then I Joao Mario is the last player who should be playing next to him.

Two players that don't give a fuck at all is a bit too much. The only way I see Joao Mario playing is in a 4-3-3 formation, RCM
