We cannot sell Mario because of FFP. We bought him for 45m, and his market value has crashed since. Selling him would mean taking a loss in our books, which we cannot afford right now due to FFP.

We need to loan his arse maybe back to Sporting who will play him, so that his value grows by the summer. Hopefully at some point, his growing market value at Sporting may outgrow his reducing book value at Inter, that will be when we sell his arse off.

I don't think you read my post properly. Mario's book value reduces every year due to amortisation, its not 45m anymore. If we sell Mario this summer for 30m, we will make a small profit in the books. It is possible that a good 6 months at Sporting and a decent world cup might fetch us that value. Maybe a little bit of theory is not all that bad, eh?

The way Mario is playing, one of our youth players (Zaniolo?) can easily replace and better him.
