SKY says Piatek to Genoa is a done deal™ for €35m plus bonuses or counterparts. As cafe said, the deal should've been €50m. But typical fucking Genoa are not only giving Milan their prize jewel for a good price, they're also taking some of Milan's utter trash off their hands like Bertolacci and Halilovic if I'm not mistaken.
I would love to see how Milan ends up after all this bullshit with them, Berlusconi, Yonghong Li, Elliott, FFP, whatever settlement agreement they end up signing and their UEFA ban which was overturned etc. I hope they somehow get relegated. That'd be a nice surprise. It feels like us and Roma are the only 2 teams on the fucking continent respecting FFP/SA.
Sky Italia: Krzysztof Piatek to AC Milan, done deal! Agreement reached for €35M to be paid immediatly to Genoa, 5 years contract to the player. No other players into the deal.
milan is coming back strong tbh. they are coming for that cl spot/ paqueta, conti, suso are all strong. bakayoko is getting back in his groove. calhanoglu is maybe not that good under pressure but a huge fk threat. they have a good defense and now with piatek if he can click with rest of the bilan attack...
i honestly dont see much weakness in their game.
35mil for a young striker is peanuts in today's market, and don't forget they saved the millions they had to pay for higuain loan, got rid of his 9mil salary and saved a further 35 they should have paid for him. Also I expect Elliot to sell one of Piatek or Citrine for twice that amount in a couple of years while saving 55mil for higuain on a player with no resale value.
How is that not smart business?
Nobody said it s not smart business but it s still very risky. Dont forget while they save around 14.5 mio on this deal they also downgrade from a borderline wc striker to one who had half a great season.
Like i dont rate higuain that high but ATM higuain> piatek the best thing about this deal for bilan is that they could keep piateks salary at 2 mio so that if he flops they may still get rid of him.
I think it's really good business tbh. I think higuain is great and has been underrated for many years, but now a days he does seem to have turned in to some fatso who doesn't seem to give a shit anymore. While that genoa guy is probably nowhere near as talented as him could end up been better in the long run just by been younger much fitter and hungry for goals.

Yes the guy above my post, one I was responding to, said it's not smart business. And they didn't save 14 they saved 19mil+9mil higuain wage +resale value of Piatek.
