That was a horrible cross and to suddenly change direction after full sprint is very difficult. Slipped or not, Icardi was not to blame in that situation as the chance was wasted anyway. That gif is much more suitable in the Politano's thread, but I expect nothing less from Icardi hater to shit on him regardless of the circumstances.

He is a decent keeper but he looks so visibly shakey and insecure that it's painful to watch. And very understandable why - his defenders are garbage. On first goal when Borini scored he was alone despite there being 5 or 6 Genoa players in the box around him.

Fiorentina v Samp was a fucking excellent game. Made me sads though. Mad cos sad cos bad. It showed some stuff we're lacking so badly. Gaston Ramirez's super free kick, something literally NO ONE in our squad, not a single player out of our 25 man squad worth over half a billion euros can even dream of doing the sighs are heavy.

And before people start get the wrong idea, obviously I would prefer Icardi to Muriel 99% of the time but just look at Muriel's goals. Both of them were quite similar in that he picked the ball up at the fucking halfway line then used great skill and pace to beat defenders and score, but look especially at the second goal. Amazing. A goal that no one in our squad with the exception of maybe Keita could dream of doing, least of all Icardi of course. I don't bring these things up purely to rag on people but I found it interesting following our disgraceful performance against Sassuolo which exposed so many things we lack. That, conveniently coupled with some great football across Europe doing the exact same thing and showcasing so many things we lack. Ah the sighs.
