Marketability though? You've got Leao bring chased for like 120m from Real, ibrahimovic, tonali, etc.

Milan always have this weirdly higher marketability thing than Inter in recent years. It probably helps too that they have a number of younger players. Bastoni is starting to get the international recognition but it's always harder as a CB.

And yet, Milan shouldn't be our measurement stick. 5 year deal doesn't make any fucking sense for Inter (let alone totally crazy 8 years). There is very little upside in this deal for Inter. Even if we double our merch income (how probable?), it's only 4-5m more per year.

This is the exact same mistake we made 9 years ago with the asisine 10 year deal.

Yeah, we can sit here and say we should be making the same as Juve, but then this seems to be the best deal we can get.

And that is consistently what happens - we always find ourselves short changed, so perhaps its our/your opinion and perspective of Inter that is wrong :D

Whether we like it or not it's the market that sets our value. And this seems to be our value right now. It sucks for us but it is what it is.

I still have hope for the Saudis, still anticipating the end of the Summer to come with added signings

I haven't said that if you read my posts. I haven't mentioned Juve even once.

I'm saying the term is way too long. And the reason for this is probably our financial situation with our useless Chinese cunt of a family as owners. There's nothing wrong with my perspective.

I know but still. It should be given we get more than Milan. We've been in CL for quite some time already, made it to knockouts finally. I'd be okay with these numbers if the term was 3 years. It would be make it or break it for Inter. Establish as CL knockouts team, win Scudetto or two and we can talk about different numbers.

Now we have no upside if all that happens with that five, possibly even EIGHT, years deal. Our current level should already give us that 30m (merchandise included) so max 3 years should be enough.

We should call Adidas right away.
The deal is better to the one Milan got from Puma when you look into the numbers and what it includes. Inter will like Milan gain about 30m euros but unlike Milan you can put merchandise revenues on top, something Milan can’t. I don’t necessarily disagree that Inter get to little out of the deal, but Inter just doesn’t have the same sort of internal appeal like many other clubs, also Italian football just ain’t very attractive at the moment and having Chinese owners in financial troubles no one wants to deal with and many don’t want to be associated to much with, just ain’t helping and neither is a club loosing 10m Euro a month also not helping. There is reason why we got crypto scam as our sponsors.

They don’t have shady Chinese owners. European companies are very aware right now of potential problems especially after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. And many a worry of Chinas plan of doing something similar or the alleged problem regarding the muslim minority and other issues that could put them in a negative spotlight. So I think many get rather cold feet about sponsoring Inter in the current climate.

It’s mostly companies with shit for morale like Nike and crypto currency’s scams who isn’t carrying nearly as much.

Inter gets reportedly 25m, not 30m. The number 30m in the rumors includes the merch revenues.

It's been a long time since Roma have had an attacker of Dybala's level

Probably the last was Totti

No wonder the fans went batshit

Really doubt Roma sold over 500k official Dybala shirts in one day.
