I'm thinking Dimarco - Carlos Augusto - Acerbi - Darmian - Cuadrado here, while testing out Bastoni in the last 20 mins.

There's no way he puts all 4 of our fit WB's on the pitch at the same time.

This is shaping up to be a massive banana peel. Complete makeshift defence, great enthusiasm following the Napoli win, sold out stadium. What could possibly go wrong.

Trouble right here in River City, it appears. Udinese is one of those teams though a perennial midtable, present problems and can take points. Inter has a to make a choice to rest players so they'll be "fresh" for Sociedad, but which ones? The defensive starters are all out with injuries, along with a winger. The replacements are older veterans that have been carrying the load for quite a while, and or some inexperienced youngsters.

If you start Cuadrado then Darmian has to start on defense most probably. If you start Bisseck at defense then Darmian is probably on the wing. Darmian will be gassed either way for Sociedad. The other option is for a Cuadrado and Bisseck combination which is risky but maybe the right choice. Augusto plays, unless the fit but rusty Bastoni is cleared. The midfield rotation is easier and can be in part based on who Inter plans start against Sociedad. The forwards? Sanchez or Arnautovic but not both probably. Should be interesting what Inzaghi decides maybe even Frattesi or The Klaassen used on the wing.

I’ve been pushing for trying Frattesi on the right wing since the Cuadrado injury, and apparently Inzaghi is considering it:

This and the next might be the hardest matches so far. Not because of the opponent quality, but because our backline is in the worst condition.

Timing is just terrible. De Vrij Pavard Dumfries are injured and Bastoni Cuadrado are not fit. And we are facing an agressive Sociedad in a must-win match, decisive for our CL fate.

Plus the rest of defenders will drop form when they are overused and tired. Let alone injured.

Shame, I’d like to see it.

I’m only basing this off one game, but he thrived with Italy when hugging the right wing. He currently struggles to get into the flow of our midfield and find space in cramped situations, but giving him a more narrow scope, more open space and utilising his vertical play could have been interesting.

Not just for that. The main reason was to wake up the team (he said it afterwards) and obviously he picked the guys who had yellows (and who hadn't played particularly well at that point).

Udinese is nothing like last season. They have collected 12 points in 14 games, including ONE win. Stop reading @Universe 's fearmongering and FUD at FIF and listen to Inter Jections for the preview!

Makings of a classic inter trap game, but I do think Udinese is quite weak this year to be honest. They aren’t displaying their grit like they normally do. Who knows, maybe this is where they turn it around but short of a massive squad rotation I see us taking this rather comfortably.

It's not gonna happen, but if there is a chance, I would play Frattesi upfront and Miki-Barella pair.
