Dont think I've ever said that.

I do give a fuck about what happens after De Boer is sacked. I just am too ignorant to speculate as to who we could reasonably get for afterwards.

It's like trying to crowd source the opinion on who is going to win the next Nobel Prize. The public have no idea, its an exercise in futility.

I was being facetious in a moment of anger. But I do believe he is doing an awful job right now, and doesn't have a track record to inspire.

I don't fully disagree with you. The last couple of matches have been bad, but when you look at other options in the market, there is not any good alternative. The best is Blanc but he will be looking for a long term contract. He doesn't want to be a caretaker. Anyway why even try to get a caretaker when we can use our current coach as a caretaker.

Our best option is to give De Boer some more time while negotiating a contract with Simeone for summer.

I actually agree with your analysis and your sentiment. Just disagree with your conclusion.

Frank perhaps is not the right coach for us, and he is not doing a good job so far. But we should only sack him when we find the "right coach" for Inter, not for another coach who is not right for us. Till we find such a coach, we may as well give Frank time to prove himself.

It was the same with Mancini. I would have no problem if we had sacked Mancini for the "right coach" like Simeone, but to sack him when we did and only to hire someone like Frank did not make sense at all. Lets not make that same mistake again, these mistakes add up financially and from a morale point of view.

I dont believe in 'the right coach'. There are a range of coaches with degrees of 'right', but no one is a 'perfect' match.

By "right coach" I mean someone who is good enough for Inter. Doesn't have to be perfect, and there is no guarantee he will make it work. For example, we will all agree that coaches like Simeone or Pochettino are good enough - they have the track record, stature and their style would suit most of our key players. IMO coaches like Zenga, Mandorlini, Pioli, etc are not good enough.

I have just written an article explaining what kind of coach we need here: http://forzainterforums.com/showthread.php?13705-Inter-s-Coaching-Conundrum&p=1554751#post1554751

Why not a 3-5-2 juve style?

-------ansaldi---miranda----murillo-----
-----------banega---kondogbia----------
Candreva-------j mario------------perisic
-------------icardi----gabigol------------

I think this would give us much more balance and i have no clue why just bc banega come out and says that he is a n.10 that fdb listens to him and plays him there after playing him deeper in the beggining of the season. I like banega more deep the way he plays for argentina and the way he played against roma. Also gabigol to support icardi which he needs

- - - Updated - - -

Ps. This would also force icardi to play deeper and be involved in play more

I wouldn't mind this, though I would pick Jovetic over Gabigol to start. The kid can come on as a sub.

My main concern would be Ansaldi as a defender. Is Andreolli still unfit?

did you ever see this? Did you ever see someone trying to run in the penalty area and shoting under De Boer?

Well, unfortunately, when I watched a game I didn't just stare at the scoreline.

Perisic's chance against Atalanta was a result of this. Candreva ran on the left then let the ball to Santon who curled the ball into the box, Candreva then cut inside dragging one defender off Icardi, who was double-marked in the box. as Icardi was free, he managed to tap it for Perisic who was unmarked inside the box with his lethal comfortable left foot.

Aren't we already using inverted fullbacks in Santon and Ansaldi? I'm lost here.

From what I saw, I think FDB is trying to either FB cuts in or wingers cut in. If the FBs cut in, the wingers stay wide and vice versa. There is only a glimpse of these though. Seems like a new thing FDB tries to implement.

I am very curious to see the players' reaction tomorrow. They can't avoid to take a stand here: if they want to "sack" the coach, it won't be hard to them; otherwise, they will have to give their 100%.

De boers game is too cross the ball, i never saw inter playing central. The goal against Roma was the only one where we scored this way.

De Boer plans Inter changes
By Football Italia staff

Frank de Boer named his Inter squad for tomorrow night’s match with Torino, but there are rumours of changes.

Gary Medel starts his three-match ban after being caught on camera lashing out at Atalanta midfielder Jasmin Kurtic in an off the ball incident.

Felipe Melo and Marco Andreolli are on the treatment table, but Andrea Ranocchia returns to the squad.

There are reports that Ever Banega will be in the starting XI again after being dropped for tactical reasons, but Ivan Perisic is the one to make way.

This leaves Eder and Antonio Candreva fanning out behind Mauro Icardi.

As for the midfield, Marcelo Brozovic is expected to start alongside Joao Mario, picked instead of Geoffrey Kondogbia and Assane Gnoukouri to fill in for Medel.

Inter squad for Torino: Handanovic, Carrizo, Berni; Andreolli, Ranocchia, Ansaldi, Santon, Murillo, Miranda, D’Ambrosio, Nagatomo, Yao, Miangue; Joao Mario, Banega, Gnoukouri, Brozovic; Palacio, Icardi, Jovetic, Eder, Perisic, Candreva, Gabriel Barbosa

Eder again? Dude seemed pretty tired and while his work-rate is commendable he shouldn't be starting so often. At least put someone like Jovetic instead.

FIGC prosecutor has opened the case to see if Icardi has violated Article 1 of the sporting justice code (about sportsmanship).

Does anyone know what the implications are?

If de Boer wants someone of Eder's characteristics to replace him, with the way he'll set up his team to play (formation-wise and Icardi spearheading the attack) in mind, Jojo is the last player he'd elect to play instead. I'm not saying I want Eder to start or play, heavens no, but obviously he serves a purpose and the only like-for-like replacement would perhaps be Biabiany and I'm sure I'm not the only one who'll dread seeing him play more so than Eder. It simply doesn't make sense to just play Jojo in place of Eder with what de Boer needs out of the player who'll play in that position.

Of course I'm saying all that assuming that de Boer wants to rest one of Perisic/Candreva.

But Eder is also not a like-for-like replacement for Perisic. A lot of Perisic's game is focused on speed and low crosses in the box and Eder does not offer that. Like you said, maybe only Biabiany would fit that.

We could play a variation of a 4-4-2 that allows Candreva to play on the right-hand side with both Jovetic and Icardi playing. Ideally though, I was for benching Icardi this game, and not Perisic.

Icardi has always been terrible against Torino, although that doesn't neccessarily mean he'll be bad this time. The only games he's played worse than Torino are the ones against Milan.
