I really don't get why Mazzari had all of the senior strikers out there when we were 6/7-0 up. Especially when two of them aren't fully fit. It's not as he was going for a new goal record. Plalacio came on, then our defenders passed the ball around the back for 15 mins.

This is a fantastic result! Not so much because of the scoreline but because of how well the team played.

We need to however keep our feet on the ground and not let it make us complacent or ignore our unaddressed problems.. It doesn't mean we're going to win the Scudetto but it shows what we are very well capable of which is always a great thing. Still though, Mazzari needs to do more of this and less of whatever the fuck he did last season and who knows.. I might actually not hate him...

I've never doubted Mazzarri. The squad this year has improved a great deal from last season, our defensive game is what needed the most improving and I think it has been corrected. Still a long way to go, but I have no doubt we won't see a repeat of last season.

On another note, Kovacic & Icardi have jumped in performance and quality since they both arrived. This is extremely encouraging.
