Both GdS and Sky predict this:

INTER (4-2-3-1): Handanovic; D'Ambrosio, de Vrij, Skriniar, Dalbert; Joao Mario, Brozovic; Politano, Nainggolan, Perisic; Lautaro.

4-2-3-1 on paper moving to 4-4-2 with Politano upfront with Lautaro and Mauro on the right side might actually make something happen. Both Politano and Lautaro love playing faster and with short passes so they might actually combine well, while the rest of the team is really slow-paced and predictable.
Having one player in AM position against 3 midfielders of Sampdoria simply seems wrong.

That should be. Asmoah and Perisic on the left. Soares with Mario on the right. Brozo and N9 in center. And let Politano more freedom. When is needed Politano could cover the right side and Mario can drift inside and help N9 and Brozo

Wow! It looks beautiful without you know who and who and who.

Why no one ever thinks of using Asamoah in midfield?

1/ Don't have to see Vecino starting.
2/ Asamoah was good with that role at Juve.
2/ There comes our DM, add more steel.
3/ Dalbert is very good atm.

So we are going all "guns" blazing in terms of offensive prowess. Only players in the bench who could be called offensive are Candreva, Valero (compared to Gags and Vecino) and Cedric.

I like it. I also would like to not get disappointed at Joao Mario again like we've used to almost everytime for the last two months now he's been on the pitch?

Meh....asamoah has lost the ball dribbling too many times, even in his LB role. Always trying to do some type of misdirection turn and the opponent just sticks their leg out and wins the ball.

He's too risky in midfield. And he only plays safe passes. You guys dread vecino passes but want asamoah's passes in midfield?

Iirc Asamoah only lost the ball once, during PSV match, and then is automatically labeled as “ball insecured” because that mistake was too expensive ;) But that’s not true.

He is actually decent with ball holding. He doesn’t dare dribble after the PSV match because he plays as LB, hence always safe (“boring”) back pass. As a MC he has Dalbert behind.

I still remember Asamoah thundershot (disallowed) goal. I’ rather see someone who can shoot, can defense, rather than Vecino who offers next to nothing and misses sitters match after match.. :palm:

i'm attracted by the idea of playing 4-3-1-2 after this Icardi shitshow.

--Keita--Lautaro
---Nainggolan---
Valero--Brozovic--Joao Mario
Dalbert--Skriniar-De Vrij--D'ambrosio

moreover, our wingers perform far below expectation currently. i always wonder how we would look like with that line up and formation on the pitch.

You think he's only been stirpped once? It was only once that directly led to a goal, but he's been stripped multiple times...Are you watching Inter games or just hightlights of goals?

And he always tries his "juve dive" after being stripped too. Sometimes it works, most times it doesn't.

In the beginning of the season, we all thought that'd be an option. I think the more we've seen him, the less it's an option tbh.

Dalbert? I'd prefer Dambrosio on the left an Cedric on the right.

Please give me a specific match which Asamoah was stripped balls "multiple times"? I feel either you mixed him up with Cedric on the other side, or you mixed up "mis-pass" and "poor ball holding" :)

It seems more to me that you have never seen him playing midfielder, do you? If you haven't, pointless to discuss further. They are two different positions and the way he operates is not the same.

No Mario, no Asamoah. Interesting. Hope that Gags will have a good performance.

there were several people me included suggesting to try Asamoah in DM in various matches earlier, but everyone was like he didn't play as DM for long time, so he might have forgotten how it feels like to play in midfield lol
