I'm in good form :D

We won vs Udinese (I made the topic)

I will express something if I may on Julio Cruz.
he scores
I'm just worried that Mancini will start him vs Roma.

Adriano, our prayers are with you :depress:

FFS!!!!
So...Cruz scores...Adriano doesn't...but you want Adriano to play and for Cruz not to get picked? he scores open "net" goals?
ps. Yeah..please Adriano our prayers are with you  ....wtf..

Cruz never did anything spectacular on the field, I would even say Adriano has done better it's just that Cruz hangs around the box which makes it easier for him to score. You cannot expect the same from Adriano who offers much more to our game.

I don't know whether you hate Adriano, because you were fast to jump the gun when you read bullsh!t media news on the whole "airplane" incident, or your just bias because you're an Argie fan.

If Mancini starts Cruz vs Roma which now, I'm hoping he will with the injury and all, then Forza Julio Cruz :star:

Adriano - #10
That's not true. Cruz goes back a lot into the midfield to play the ball up. Though he stays more in the box (like he should) when he's a single striker (or lined up with Chino).

Anywayz this is the lineup I'd like to see for the game.

---------------Recoba--------------Cruz

-----Solari------Cambiasso----Veron-------Figo

----Favalli-----Samuel------Materazzi-----Cordoba

----------------------J. Cesar

Cruz is a very good passer I have to admit but he lacks pace and dribbling...

Crespo, Figo, I
MAncio mentioned last week on inter.it that adriano tends to drift back to the middle more when he is double covered by two defenders... He said that Adriano needs to learn to stay closer to the goal... so he can be more effective as a target point...

and it does make sense, adriano tends to be more in the middle... as he has the capability as well....

mike, many people here are aware of my hate towards Julio Cruz. I have no bias towards him, he is a donkey IMO. But at the moment, he is one of the most inform strikers in the Serie A, and whatever and however they are scoring, if you don't use them to your advantage...then the only winner is the opposition. It doesn't matter if the keeper has fallen to the ground for all 5 of his goals...he is still scoring, and for a striker, that is his job...his job is not to create, not to defend, not to look fancy, to be sh1t for 89 minutes...and for the one minute to score...that is his job.

I don't hate Adriano, he represents this club, but the way he has represented it is just embarassing. Please continue in beleiving he isn't another Ronaldo.

I don't know if anyone knows this (or cares) but it should be known that Inter have not conceded a Serie A goal at the Meazza since March of last season against Fiorentina.

I agree with catanha ... I've never told anyone that we have a clean sheet since Fiorentina last season ..

last season I said that Inter didn't get a penalty kick for a long time .. in the next match .. we had 2 penalties against Siena .. and Adriano missed one .. and at the end .. we had a 2-2 draw ..

With the absence of Adriano, I prefer Recoba-Cruz on the front. We shall have 3 points here. Too bad Zebina wasn't in Roma again, he and Recoba can have a reunion :D

Veron and Cambiasso should be rested against Roma,to give them a breather.

Zanneti and Pizarro should be given a nod for this game, these two are an adequate replacement for the above mentioned duo,I'd love to see Solari
playing as a starter in this game together with Figo to create havoc in Roma's defence.

For this game I think we need to keep a close eye on two of their guys,Totti (ofcourse) and Mancini. These are the two players that always make us suffer. The good thing is that Mancini only does well for one half against us.

We cant also be giving freekicks close to the edge of our box.I think we all remember Totti's 100th goal along with what Chivo can do at that range.

I think if he doesnt play today,we will miss Adriano's presence.Since it took them two guys to mark him last time everytime he was close to goal, freeing up the rest. That is why if he isnt playing we need to be fast in attack.

I dont know why but if Figo plays today he is due for a goal..

I think Taddei will be dangerous since we allowed him to move to Roma instead of signing him! Anyways:
-----------------------------Julio Cesar

-----Ze Maria---------Cordoba---------Samuel--------Favalli/Wome

--------------------------------Cambiasso

-------Figo--------------------------------------------------Solari

------------------------------Pizarro

------------------------------------------Recoba

------------------------------Cruz

Something like that is what I expect. But since we are "out" of wingers, I expect Cordoba RB and you know the drill...
