What a great win and I am more happy coz I had dreamt a 0-1 loss for us last night only to see 4-3 this morning.:)

But too bad, that with this victory a rumoured news seems to have been confirmed. Even though we still don't know anything about it yet. :(

I know Ibra and Adri haven’t played much together but in all seriousness they need a trequarista behind them. It doesn’t look too good! Figo did very well whenever he moved in the field as our formation became more like a 4-3-1-2. As it seems a 4-4-2 formation with Viera and Cambi and Ibra and Adri will not work. At least not tonight!

All credit to Crespo – the guy smells the goal from miles away. Provide him with the right balls and he will score. I can see plenty more from him with quality crosses from our flank.

First half was a disaster, but oh boy how we changed it all in the remaining of the game after we changed our formation and specially since Crespo’s introduction. Our players showed some great character and believe me when you have a shitty first half you don’t want to be told off in the locker room from someone like Miha!

Our team have lacked character and most important of all someone with the right arrogance for a long time. We now have Ibra who isn’t bother when he fails with one or 2 of his moves. He just continues without giving jack a$$ about anyone or anything. He can be useful, indeed very useful if he manages to control his temper off field as well as on field. Great start to the season… Forza Ragazzi

btw. Did you guys notice that for the first time the players tunnel had been removed from below the curva nord to the middle of the pitch – just like most other pitches! I think Fabio mentioned that this was due to happen prior to this season.

Wow, what an entertaining match..congrats to Inter, you must have something special to win like this..I had a deja vu, you probably know what I mean..

Instead of writing an essay, I would like to point out on some things..Inter is definitely very strong, but there are some problems that IMO could occur often in future matches..Lack of creativity, this is based only on this match, but the team really miss a playmaker, maybe Figo could fill that hole..Confusion in the defense, especially Samuel, like he was some 3rd rate def..And striking duo, Adriano-Ibra done absolutely nothing playing together, zero..I don't believe some of you say that Ibra had a promising start, lol..:wallbang: It was hilarious watching Zlatan handle shots and passes, disaster..His assist?:dielaugh: A misskick of a shot..
Vieira was magnificent, same goes for Figo..

Spaletti made some weird changes, he substituted Totti and Aquilani with Mido and Cassetti?! I don't doubt his reputation and skills, but it was rather odd..

Ref was lousy, plenty of errors that luckily didn't affect the match too much..

Anyway, good start for Inter, real boost of confidence both for players and fans..cheers..:star:

Good win from the boys, greatt fighting spirit and courage.

First of all, to the people who rather than celebrating the win are having a go @ Adriano, go fark yourselves, first match of the season, winning this does not mean sh1t all really, but I'm happy because we won it in a manner which is going to hurt Roma and give a scare to Milan.

This game proved how vital Cordoba still is to the team, you need pace and a Samuel & Materazzi partnership will not work, don't ever play them again toghether, if Cordoba is suspended this season in matches (which is certain) put Burdisso with one of Samuel/Materazzi......this is worse than Pizarro & Veron.
I'm not worried about Grosso's performance, he was the latest to arrive and after the summer he had, he's expected to be in poor form, I'm just annoyed that Maxwell wasn't called up and played left back.
Stankovic is not a winger, not a left sided one thats for sure, I thought Mancini (Lazio days) of all would know this, but he constantly plays him there, for gods sake put Figo there or Solari.

Adriano, decent performance, good on the bloke for trying. Ibra needs to the basics at a new club first then the extravagent moves, did very well but I just hope he scored that chance. Crespo, honestly, he's gonna stick it up so many people this season who said that he was finished.

Wat a post! I swear u said everthin that I wanted to say. Just to add, Maicon is too good, no more full back problems this year. In midfield, Figo was playing like a 20-year old, dont those who said e was finished feel stupid. the first 30-40 mins, we were pure crap, samuel was nowhere to be seen, and materazzi isnt fast enuff. If maxwell is as good as u ppl say, tcant wait to soo him in action. There was alot of flaws to learn from this match really, Ibra and Adriano didnt play well, maybe it was roma's D. Now, GUess who's back, Back again, Crespo's back tell a friend.....................................................

Stop being riduculous. Why are you complaining about Ibra's performance as such when Adriano's performance was nugatory through the 60 minutes? Ibra's miss kicks are really awful, but atleast he gets involved in the play and did actually create something for the team. Adriano? Pffft...
Really? in the first half i have seen Adriano much more involved in the game than Ibrahimovic, and also working more, Ibra was invisible for a lot of minutes.

Tanel said:
Does it matter was it a bad shot or not!? No it doesen't.

And the second assist was the FK earned by him to Figo.

No, it doesn't matter, but it's silly to say Ibrahimovic has been better than Adriano in the first 60 minutes of the game.

By the way, everybody can be sure i'am not against Ibrahimovic transfer, i said weeks ago that i was 50% 50% so please don't get me wrong, for me all Inter players are the same. Also i use to like him when he was at Ajax, but this last year he has been crap in almost all the games.

Man this game was intense a tale of two halfs if there ever was one. Totti, Mancini and Aquilani were making our backline look like under 12 schoolgirls with the type of plays they were pounding them with. I will not discuss the goal incidents as they have been beated to death, quite simply the centeral partnership was trash and will never work against a team attacking in the manner that Roma was against us.

Figo and Viera were the only players showing any sort of emotion in the first half and I was so happy when it was those two that hooked up for the first goal.......and then came the second half.........

Aside from the comeback against Samp this was possibly the best half of football I have seen from Inter in years. It was domination out there with a capital D. Mancini left his words to sink in for a couple of minutes then went ahead with the changes that pretty much won us the game. Props to him for finally realizing a change was needed.

The pressure on the Roma backline was immense after Mancio's change in formation. The introduction of Maicon just led to even more pressure. After he got into the match nothing was getting past that man and he was simply shredding the Roma midfield with some sweet combination play with Stan and above all maintaining possession.

That brings me to my next point the addition of Viera has made a huge difference in our attack. I was afraid that he would not be able to link up well with Esteban but I was mistaken his understanding though shady at times looks like it can blossom and his ability to find Figo when he was waiting for the right pass was astounding. Last season Inter lacked something when in attack we would get to the final third but rarely would we be able to keep the ball there for extended periods and get solid chances. Now that is no more with either Esteban or Viera waiting to put the ball back into the mix while the other penetrates the backline with a run to provide support for the strikers we now have that added dimension of all great teams. Hopefully this will be the norm and not a rarity.

I dont want to read or take too much from this game but the indications from the second half and extra time were really promising. Lets hope Mancio is done once and for all with the 4-4-2 and will now switch to the 4-3-1-2 which was super effective.

One more thing Maicon is in devastating form and if he keeps this up it is going to be extremely hard for Mancini to ignore him.

Great pics Frisko :star:

I don't want to be a picture-reader, but Adriano seemed genuniely happy to me. Either that or striking Dacourt on the head was a life-time dream of his.

I can't say more about Crespo :star: :star: :star: His goal reminded me of the one he scored against Ajax. Some crosses are impossible to connect with and direct, but he does it regularly

No one is saying that, but the fact is Ibra did get involved in the last part of the game. You really can't say what Adriano did in this game was as satiating as to what Ibra did, otherwise Adriano wouldn't get subbed, and he wouldn't had been disappointed with his performance on the pitch.

I agree with Alex.. Adri wasn't at all that bad.. If you ask me his play was equally good as Ibra's up to Crespo enterance.. As match went on Ibra was screwing thing's up more and more.. He stoped running, he was loosing the balls too easily, passing very badily.. going into unnecessary dribllings..
Like somebody said that assist of his wasn't really an assist and missing that 100% chance.. dumbass.. Well he did some good, he felt really good on some occasions (Juve school?) he deserves 6..

And Mancini.. he needed all summer and 3-0 down to reallise that the best formation is 4-3-1-2???? Hope he won't forget what he learned today till the championship starts..
Anyway we haven't got enough players for this kind of formation and our creativity lies completely on the back of 34 year old Figo.. Absolutely great tonight but how long will he keep his freshness?
Can't help to wallbang once more when I remember the sale of Pizarro.. He would be perfect here..

Well, after all.. we are Crazy Inter..

You can't compare first competetive game of Ibra to a game of Adriano that is his what, 100 in Inter shirt ?

And still throughout the whole game Ibra was much better. I mean, not only scoring, or finishing counts.

Ibra played some decent balls, and moved better and better.

But I have to give Adri credit for the dreadfull formation he played in. All our players sucked in first half, so what I want to say is I'm eager to see him playing in 4-3-1-2.

Well, I really can cos afterall Ibrahimović plays for himself above all.. He doesn't need to get some special feeling with his teamates.. Only thing he needs is the ball so he can do his fancy, well tonight rather laughable stuff..
Only thing I will give him credit for is beeing seen.. He spent a lot of time with the ball in his feet, and that is something.. What he did with that ball is another thing..

I watched a game with my friend who is, well excuse me, a Juve fan, and we couldn't stop laughing at him.. Friend said (yes, I know it sounds stupid but anyway) he's continuing his good form from Juve..

So let's continue with this 4-3-1-2 and see who plays how..
Just hope Solari will be a decent sub for Figo and Maxwell will soon be back to play in midfield (we only have Dacourt as a sub)..
And maybe Recoba can play on Figo's place? Well, that woul be a childhood dream come true...

Interesting point about Recoba, it might work and thenit might not. However lets see if he can scrounge more than his usual 5 games a season as a first teamer.

Javier Zanetti,
Crespo is indeed a monster, and the thing is we know he does this every season no matter where he plays. Hopefully he benches Adriano permanantly.

Oh come on. Even if you put Cruyff, Maradona and Pele up front, they would too need some games together.

Only thing I will give him credit for is beeing seen.. He spent a lot of time with the ball in his feet, and that is something.. What he did with that ball is another thing..

He didn't played some great plays, but that's not the point. The point is that he showed something of what he can put into this team, and this is involvment in the teamplay.

You can't be the best and not make mistakes all the time. Adriano make some misses that my grandma wouldn't and still he is a decent player I would say.

Just hope Solari will be a decent sub for Figo and Maxwell will soon be back to play in midfield (we only have Dacourt as a sub)..

Well first of all, Maxwell can't play in this formation in midfield, as there is no laterall players in midfield, so it's only left back for him.

It can be troubling as we have only 4 central midfielders, but we can always play with old good :p 4-4-2 if we'll short in central midfield, and play Maxwell as left winger.

Recoba is best in this position, behind the strikers, and everybody knows that :)

It's my dream too, if Mancio will continue with this formation I'm sure Chino will get his chance in this position.

Anyone who sias that ibra was better than Adri is blind or stupid because before we was 4-3 ibra did not do shit, i mean he was not better than Adri becuse Adri showed some willingnes and desire while Ibra was just on the pitch.

For me Ibra was not so good but he can make a diffrance.

Supersub Crespo.
All team did his job.

i was disapointed with Grosso, Ibra, Matrix.

in first half:
Vieira Cambiasso ADri and Stan looked well all other war shitty.

Now all you will say that Adri did not do his job. if he will do and work hard as this match he will be the gratest for sure. Forzza Inter.

I thought Adriano was very good, especially when you compare him to how Zlatan was playing early on. Adriano was getting no 'service' from Zlatan or basically our midfielder so he dropped back and got a fair amount of the ball and when you not scoring thats what you need to do so ease up on him.

What a match though, damn slowness of inter.it

Vieira sucked for a while in midfielder there btw and Mancini was eating Zanetti.
