According to FcInter1908, Inzaghi will partially rotate his squad on Tuesday by starting Cuadrado, Carlos Augusto and Sanchez, who were tried in the potential starting XI for tomorrow’s fixture.

we could end up with PSG anyway.
I don`t think this Inter fears facing P$G

Definitely the hardest opponent this season so far. They play high pressure and are attacking minded team. Doing pretty well in the group stage and La Liga.

I believe this is the real test for us. A home win is a priority, so 90% of the chance is that libneup will remain, the only thing that might change is RCB.
However I would love to see Fratessi in this one so bad

Hard to believe Barella & Lautaro will not start. Or the plan is to reserve them for last 30 minutes, but Barella doesn't need that, he has plenty of stamina... if anything that's a good plan for Mikhi.

I think Inzaghi knows Frattesi needs two ball players next to him, and Mkhi/Hakan help the ball move around the team more than Barella.

Surprised by that line-up. I did expect more rotation than other people, as we rarely do well with same team playing within 3 days. Inzaghi was seen talking to Frattesi in the last match after he made his last sub, and in the post match interview he mentioned that he was telling him that he'll be important for the next match.

I also would have thought Dimarco would have been one to be rotated rather than Bastoni.

Will be interesting to see if this is the real lineup or we are playing mind games right now.

i guess the second place it is then
Looking forward to remembering this moment when we slump to a draw, sacrificing top place in the group, and eventually draw and get smashed by Bayern or Real Madrid in the knockout stages. Thanks Limone!

By this point, I think Inzaghi has more than earned the benefit of the doubt regarding most everything he does, including not exclusively playing the assumed starting 11 every, single difficult match - like this one - with a traditionally-tough away game at Lazio on the horizon.

At this point in time I'd rather thank Limone for currently being first in Serie A, having the best defence and attack in the league, only having dropped points in two matches, and being in position to 'just' having to defeat the fourth-seeded team at home to progress in first in our Champions League group whilst managing things brilliantly on the home-front.

Once again; he knows best. Doesn't guarantee rotating here will work out, just like it's not guaranteed that we'd be in first place in Serie A if we hadn't rotated against Benfica, Salzburg and Sociedad, and just like it's not even a guarantee that we'd beat Sociedad with our on-paper starting eleven.

Exactly this. He knows best who should be playing in this match tomorrow.

We were all predicting full 1st team lineup against Sociedad in Inter Jections episode 20 but these latest rumors seem to indicate qualification was the target and then it's full focus on Serie A. And it's not like it's B team like against Benfica, but few pieces changed. Let's see what it's going to be eventually, but I'm not worried even one bit.

Forza Inzaghi!

Surviving the first half is crucial I think.
Surviving?:) Playing home against Sociedad. 5th in their League table? I say attack from the start and score couple before the halftime.

3:1 Inter.

Looking for a win but second is not totally disaster, I think we’re capable against any top teams currently.

People are overreacting too much because of that first match display. No need to panic over something that isn't as huge as it's being written here. Pretty sure we'll see a different/better approach in this one compared to the first match. I actually like that rumored starting line-up.

Having both technical players in the flanks will be an advantage against a team that usually presses high. Frattesi is inferior to Barella in term of ball possession and creativity but he'll bring aggressivity in the midfield, which I think will be very important against a team like Sociedad. Defence looks solid though. There's no room for complaints IMHO.

Trust the man.
I honestly trust him for not starting Barella and Frattesi together.
And also i understand why Asllani is not played only as viceHakan.
The man is a balance freak, thats why he takes off yellow carded players also.

I can understand Frattesi and Sanchez. Barella and LM would come in for the second half. But why Augusto & Dimarco, but not Bastoni-Augusto vs. Kubo.

I kind of get the logic of bringing in some of our heavy weights in the second half to capitalize on their presumably tired legs. It’s not what I would do, but I get it. And if Inzaghi can get us the top spot without wearing down our starters he will look like a genius. And if it goes wrong he is Limone. That’s just the way it is. He’s been right more often then not in the ucl and in general this season so I’ll let the man cook.

I do think we absolutely need Thuram from the off and for the majority of this match. We will want the option to play route 1 football here if we need to. Sanchez starting would be a nightmare. I would bet on him to gift at least one goal to Sociedad from a failed dribble if he’s in the first team.

The backline is fine. Frattesi and Cuadrado are understandable for different reasons. But Sanchez is too ball hogging and too slow for my liking. Considering Sociedad early pressing approach as they nearly killed us in the first half first round.

Dont forget if they score once we need to do double..losing stupid balls gonna be suicidal.
