Okay, here is MY lineup. There´s no way in hell, Mancini will even consider it.

portoline.jpg

It´s a 5-3-2 lineup. Note that it´s not a 3-5-2 lineup where the central defenders plays quite wide. However, the fullbacks and especially Ze Maria in that case would be the keyplayer in this formula. He´s very offensive and should deal with the offensive part of that flank. In defence, it will be as normal.

Materazzi plays as the sweeper. A good ol´ Bergomi position. Gamarra and Mihajlovic acts as normal central defenders. Not the kind of defenders you saw with Zac last season.

With so many defensive players in defence, we can use two offensive midfielders and only one defensive.

I´m aware of the risks and that it won´t even happen. It´s just a fantasy of mine. In the normal case I would NEVER play five defenders, just like I would NEVER play one striker.

One thing's for sure. Do not play Miha and Materazzi only! Play Gamarra next to Miha. Gamarra is not a fast defender, but he is a tremendous manmarker.

I really feel for Burdisso on both a personal level and a professional level. This would have been his time to shine, and such a tragedy occurs. Cursed ever since he put on that shirt, I guess. :(

At first I was pleased with the away goal, but with these circumstances I wish we would have scored two.

How do you make the tactic picture? Is there a website or software or something?

I stole the codes of another website along with that pic. :D Don´t really know which website it was. But you should find a pic of a field easily on Google.

Caution:

This is surely not a game for somoeone with weak nerves or heart problems! as every Porto attack will be a very dangerous opportunity! so some people should be cautious watching the game as they might find themselves picking their heart from the floor or feel that they lost a few pounds after the game!

Nothing new really! For many years more or less every game has had the same pattern as we can never ever kill off a game like other big teams do! Suffering until the last seconds is the default! :(

Oh well. Have to say Tactian-Jimmy did quite interesting work.

I wonder if C Zanetti is fit for this match cause if he is Mancio will surely field 2DM's with that defence while Cristiano nearly playing as a defender.. ;) But if he ain't, I quess it's Andy on the field and Veron and Cuchu playing in the middle.

But Mancio,

play Carlos Gamarra I'm quite desperate but I trust this guy!! Well I'll put mine line up without Cristiano.

Jimmy's lineup is certainly appealing considering my soft spot for these kind of formations. However we all know Mancini will pick 4 defenders for sure! Hey, I could be wrong but somehow I'm not expecting it.

I expect Mancini to field:

Toldo

Ze Maria - Mihajlovic - Materazzi - J. Zanetti

Veron - Cambiasso - C. Zanetti - Stankovic

Vieri - Adriano

He will want Martins on the bench as a joker. ;)

I hope we field:

Carini

Ze Maria - Gamarra - Mihajlovic - J. Zanetti

Cambiasso - C. Zanetti

Veron - Stankovic

Adriano - Martins

I'm sure everybody is pissing their pants now. Tomorrow we will lay our destiny safely in the hands of... Whatever you believe in!

Just a question DO YOU WANNA LOSE

J. Zanetti on LB you must be crazy, and using Ze Maria would be a catastrophy, that man cant defend.

And using Gammara who haven't play many min. with his teammates in such a vital game are way to risky. Then I would rather have ???? .

And I don't like Jimmy's idear either. cause playing with a system we are not use to would not be a smart move, especialy when it's defensive, which of couse would be the stupiest thing we could come up with since we can't defend.

Are you a chicken or a man..

Surely Ze Maria on the RB position is not the most ideal of options to have.
Anyhow, everyone who for whatever reaason like to see Il Capitano on the LB position should conside this that he wont be as offensive minded as he at times is when played on his normal position. So dont expect a ofensive attitude from our captain.

FORZA INTER!

I've already decorated and dusted off my panic room. I even put an extra phone line in case and a first aid kit.

However, I will have to be in a class at that time. So, I won't even dare and follow the game, I don't want to make a public scene there. I honestly don't know what to do?

If we don't go through, our season is DONE, and we are in mid-march. What is there to play for? Why would I even care to follow our matches, there isn't even a UEFA cup to play for.

I dig Jimmy's line-up! We have to do it, we have to resort to that, playing Materix and Miha alone is suicidal. Not only that, in Miha and Veron, we have two players that can give excellent long passes which should compenste for the lack of midfielder. Catenaccio, here we come.

MERCY MY LORD MERCY.

I'm a MAN, but I just realised that we have no other choises then to use Ze Maria :wallbang:

And who ever we chose to use in the Central defence it will end up with a catastrophy. we have 3 options, and it dosen't really matter who we use, cause alle of them are extremly slow, and poor in defending. :scared:

We need more then a miracle to go through to the next stage. :(
