Yes, even if we lose there will be a game for us in NJ... so... FIF meetup?

Do we really think Inter is going to get past an in-form Chelsea side when most of their bench is returning from injury/will be playing a new formation with Mazzarri/etc?

I am extremely hesitant to buy a New York ticket due to those reasons.

Again, even if Inter loses to Chelsea they will still play in NY on the 4th. They'll just play the Milan/Valencia loser instead of the winner.

True. Jesus, see how cynical this past season has made me?

Either way, getting to Indy or New York from Portland, Oregon is going to be a 4 digit affair just for the flight. Christ.

Question for Brrrrrrr Grrrrrrrrrr loving americans.

I can understand LA & NY but why are cities like Indianapolis and Phoenix booked ? Are they identified as places that football needs developing/growth or are they football mad already ? Just curious.

I'm trying to figure that out myself. Phoenix will be awful weather-wise for playing a match in the middle of summer, for one thing. Indianapolis just seems random but maybe there's something I don't know.

Well I'm no Yank but probably the former. They don't have an MLS team nor have they ever been rumored for one as far as I know. I'm not sure how many people in Indianapolis know who or what Inter is.

Much like Visca, I question the decision to play a football game in middle of the desert during the summer. Yay for 35-40 degree temperatures :work:

I think I can answer this:

Inday and Phoenix are booked as they are hybrid indoor-outdoor stadiums that were available at the time and meet the schedule requirements, seating requirements and budget requirements. They also were chosen due to demographics in the are. Indianapolis was chosen as the midwest stadium as stadiums in Chicago and Detroit were not available. Phoenix heat will not be an issue as that stadium has a state of the art ventilation system so the players and fan's won't feel any desert conditions. Also the tournament was setup to hit all areas of the USA LA & San Francisco for the West Coast, Phoenix for the Southwest, Indianapolis for the midwest, NYC for the Northeast/Mid-Atlantic and Miami for the Southeast.

Hope that clears it up!

Should have hit Seattle up. I would have been there in an instant. Pacific Northwest has the best football fans north of Mexico.

CenturyLink would've been great but from what I heard since they have a US national team and Gold Cup match hosted there they aren't doing any friendlies or interested in them....Just a note on this "tournament" it was put together so last minute they are lucky to have the facilities they got up until a few weeks ago only half the clubs were announced to participate!
