Inter Planning American Tour

Two articles surfaced today. Originally it was just a snippet that Inter is planning an American tour. A few hours later the Washington Post is reporting Inter will join Juventus, Real Madrid, LA Galaxy, and four other most likely European teams in a tournament this summer in the United States.

Games are planned in the Phoenix, San Francisco, and Indianapolis areas. With semi-finals in New York and Los Angeles. Final in Miami.

Getting excited at the thought of this happening.

I don't get it.. so there will be matches in all these different American cities but how are fans of each club supposed to know which city their club will be appearing at more than a couple days in advance since isn't it a knockout tournament? Or am I reading it wrong?

Least something interesting is coming to San Francisco this year... last year we only got Swansea

I'm in Portland, so yes, I'll be there in a second for an SF match. The knockout format, I believe, is only part of the final 4 games in Miami. At least I hope.

I hope it's real. Inter could definitely benefit from getting some American exhibition $$$ to close up some gaps. Hell, do it every single year. I wouldn't mind that one bit.

Phoenix is also a strange choice. Who wants to play or watch football at the height of summer in the desert? Move that shit up to the Pacific Northwest. The beautiful game is huge up here. The biggest in North America imo (Mexico excluded)
