Makes me laugh when people say Inter is favorite for the scudetto. With this way the team is playing and no defence, it would be even harder to finish among the top 4 than last season.

People make the mistake of looking at a list of players but forget who gets to decide which of those players will get to play and what they're going to be doing.

Conte could have approached the game differently. why not Sanchez as starter over Lautaro? why not Eriksen over Brozovic as starter?. he can always play 4 at the back considering how awful Kolarov has been as CB. Conte is immune to change. he's too stubborn and we all know it. you cant defend Conte for having thin squad.it's his job to fuckin maximize what he has and not blame bloody Covid for his ineptitude.

Sanchez is probably not fit to play 30 min let alone start. And I agree, Conte should have switched the formation, like everyone's been saying it for a year+ now, but right now there's a bigger chance Handanovic scores a hat trick than Conte going with a back 4.

Conte won't change the formation. We should definitely agree to never write that idea anymore. There's just no way he plays another formation.

Eriksen was shockingly bad. I would expect a player of his supposed caliber to stand-up a show what you're worth. I don't know if he has done that since he arrived.

I don't blame Conte for this one. Cause too much factor which make Conte lose this one :

1. International Break, our players are decesive for their NT, they play too much, more than Milan players.
2. Covid. There are many players infected by Covid. Especially Bastoni and Skriniar.

oh, theres another thing thats funny. Lazio has looked like a Serie B team today agains Sampdoria. They also got destroyed by Atalanta. But then comes Inter and can't really do anything against them.
With the way we are playing we're not gonna defeat any of the big teams. Heck, we can't defeat Milan, who barely passed Rio Ave and Lazio which looks very bad this season.

We needed this smack in the face. Milan lost the last derby and hasn't lost since. The problem is... I don't see how any of these flaws are going away:

We're counting on Perisic playing wingback.. he'll be gone come January
We desperately needed another defensive CB to replace Godin.. we got Darmian and Kolarov

Too bad Conte's tactics don't allow us to play 4 mids to accommodate for our 8 midfielders.

I was and still am a Conte defender, but this is on him.
I can understand we don't have Bastoni and Skrniar, but to play with 2 attacking WB, when 2 of 3 CB are slow and not covered by a DM (which we don't have), that invitation to desaster.
And what is this obsession to play from Hand straight to Lukaku long-balls. I could understand against teams with midfield much better than our but not Milan.
Eriksen was poor, since he came we had basically a half chance and nothing more. I don't know who to blame. The guy is really talented but we don't play a system who could suit him. And this is on Conte.
Lautaro - I just cannot take his diva attitude anymore. Diving by every chance.

Kolarov doesn't have the legs to play as a wingback anymore. He can only play as a lb in a back 4 and only against weak opponents. That's why i was so strongly aganst signing him. He has no position in a back 3 fomation. You can't expect a guy, who had always been a defensive liability throughout his career, to play as a lcb.

This team looks exactly when in football manager you take a team suited with players for a 4-3-1-2 for example but you insist on playing a
3-5-2 for example.
The potential is there, but if you are a stubborn donkey, your team will lose.
Don't expect any better in the following games.

I was expecting a comment like this one. I would love to see a formation like the one I mentionted, and then say if it works or if it's stupid. Look at teams like Bayern or Liverpool (today's Gold Standard in football). They dominate using talent and muscle. Why can't we play like that if we have the players?

If Conte is gone in February we should offload lukako and buy a younger cheaper striker and use the difference to sign a young talented midfielder.
