We played like crap for long parts of the game but some of our players stepped up and that was enough.
I hope this shuts up you Candreva haters!
Vecino, Handanovic and of course Icardi were great.

Huh...surprisingly there is not much talk about the penalty on their forum. Instead they're talking about getting a new coach.

Also, I'm trying to call my brother who is a Milan fan. He's not picking up :D

first half was really good, nothing flashy, but we were totally under control.
second half was a catastrophy throughout and i just can't stop wondering how the hell we can't keep up the pace the whole game... we looked really unsecure, and it was the same thing with benevento.

as for the penalty, it was really cruel for milan, because they fought, but it was a dumb decision by rodriguez to do something like that in the dying minutes... not even talking about how dambro would have never gotten the ball. it was a purely idiotic decision by a milan player, so i really couldn't bother, because the penalty was there, even if cruel.

anyways we had a great start into the season and even bearing a smashing loss against napoli, i think everyone would have gladly taken 22 points out of nine games before the season started, considering the match plan (roma away, napoli away, and record spending milan)
i hope that we wake up in defence against napoli, because else we will need two handanovics against them to get anywhere near a draw.

Cant remember the last time I was as happy with a result. So glad to beat these fuckers. We're 10 points ahead but they will improve in future.

On a kind of negative, Juve let me down for £150. The only time i didnt want them to lose but im not too upset. Had juve, napoli and Inter to win, along with Bologna.

Any posts coming from the Bilan forums?

I posted one before the forum / my shitty laptop crashed and it didn't go through.

Basically, Bonucci, Biglia and Rodriguez all suck and hey wanted Valero and Rodriguez fouling D'Ambrosio is irrelevant because D'Ambrosio was not going to score (???) and the ref fucked them and Montella out and generally the exact same as FIF after a loss but switch player names.

What a fucking legendary night!! I haven't enjoyed a football game so much in ages!!!

A few points:

1. Icardi was clearly MOTM. 3 chances = 3 goals, you just cannot fault that. Every time he touched the ball, he did something good with it (like that back flick to Eder). Our 2nd best player was Candreva, eat that haters! Candreva is the derby dude.

2. I don't understand people who say Gags or Miranda were poor. They had a decent game overall, though with a few mistakes. Nagatomo was quite useless, and Valero didn't impress either.

3. People calling Milan a shit team were probably watching a different game. Milan are improving, and probably have more talent in their squad than us. Montella got his tactics wrong yet again, his 3 man defence was naive against a 3 man attack coz it usually left their libero alone in the centre against one of the most lethal striker in Europe. Borini was possibly Milan's best player, he has been reborn as a wingback. Cutrone & Locatelli are good talents from the academy, and while Silva and Kessie had an off day that is only expected from young talents. Milan will do well this season.

4. Soft penalty, usually these are not given. But when they are given, you cannot blame the ref. RR was naive to do that in the final minutes.

5. Once again, Icardi was God-level today. Now I hope Sarri plays his first team against City in the midweek, we will need any advantage we can get for that one. Forza Inter!!!

Hope it doesnt happens to us, but it feels good reading bbilan's forum :))

also, they looked better in the second half because we didnt had any MF to bring from the bench in the place of Valero, if we had a DM to introduce when they substituted kessie for cutrone (also other fullbacks), they wouldnt have scored.

Spalletti didnt think that they would be so dangerous after the break, I think it was a surprise for him, he asked the team to deliberately retreat, but again our fullbacks are shiiiit

The penalty was correct of course. It was a moronic move by Rodriguez, D'Ambrosio was no threat there.

As for the game, Icardi was immense. Two chances and a PK was all he had and he converted all three. He also 'made' the 2nd goal with that steal in the middle of the park, but Perisic's move was also crucial as he gave Maurito time to free himself.

Handanovic was godlike. Unfortunate situation with Milan's second goal, he saved it and then the ball returned to the goal without much left to do. I can't remember a game where he's pulled more than 3 world class saves. Even that 2nd goal could've been another world class save if it didn't crawl back in with the stupid post.

Nagatomo was trash. I hope Spalletti sees that.

Both goals were on us. First one Perisic and Gagliardini decided to go on a vacation and left Suso (FUCK SUSO!) to hit a great shot. Second was a gift chance and then lucky.

Miranda was great in the air. Awful with everything else.
Gagliardini was shaky. Vecino was reckless for around 60 minutes, then he decided to man up. Perisic wasn't noisy but he was impactful when necessary. Candreva was very good. Valero was also quite good outside a few bad back-passes. Skriniar was a beast once again. And D'Ambrosio didn't have to do much as Nagatomo was Montella's target, can't complain with his performance though.

I didn't get that Cancelo sub nor did I realize that Valero had to play 85 minutes.

As a whole our game wasn't really pleasant tactically or in any other sense. It was a great game for neutrals to watch and a great result & ending for Inter fans though. At least this result will build our team character up and we need this.

Oh, and fuck Tagliavento as well. Without VAR, we wouldn't even see this PK foul in the future replays.

Why do people say we were lucky? We didn't play too well, but we didn't play bad either. We took our chances and that's pretty much it.

Derbies are always hard, and i was surprised to see so many goals today.

BRAVO INTER! BRAVO ICARDI !

This was a fucking night to remember! The derby is back!

Maurito! What a killer instinct!
Candreva for all the shit he took, was a boss this evening!
Valero was good, except one or two passes. But I want to see him as a pure DLP. Not so high on a pitch. He does not posses the stamina. In other words I would like a 4-3-3 with Valero as DLP flanked by 2 of Vecino, Gags or Mario. Something like Conte played with Pogba-Pirlo-Vidal.

Nago useless. Miranda at the beginning shit, than much better.
