Surely Belfodil, Kovacic, or Taider would add something to the complete lack of anything you fuckhead, Mazzarri

wow, first game in the league, and Mazzarri is already a fuckhead?

we are reconstructing and started this game playing 3-5-1-1 which sucks if u want beautiful attacking play. We are not playing 4-3-3 with CR7 and Ribery, look at the players we got through the years.... :palm: no world class player, but this isn't a bad team

this team with Kovačić, another, younger DM and another wingback is good enough. especially how we performed the last two years. at least how it seems right now. the first half was dreadful tho. I hope Mazzarri will make the team better, I believe he already did. Like I said - first defence, then the attack.

Am I actually watching the same game as seemingly everyone else here?

Although far from perfect, this is much better and organized play than most of the drizzling shit-matches we had to endure throughout last seaon.

Aye, definately.

Crosses? TO WHO? Who the fuck is supposed to score from a cross? Alvarez? Nagatomo? Palacio might score once out of every 100 crosses...great odds

This.

I`m just very happy that we started off well with a victory. I was really hoping for this!

Must say people should load themselvs with a lot of patience, since Mazzarri's tactic also involves a solid defence and drawing energy from opponents, while increasing the pressure in the final minutes of the game in order to beat them at the end. Remember Napoli last season? They had a lot of 90+4 minute wins... but they also had Cavani :fuckyea: now I'm watching Nantes - PSG and it's really incredible what kind of players PSG have, both on pitch AND on their bench...

DUO JAPANESE!!! JONA-CHAN and NAGA-SAN! :proud:

:awyeah: :awyeah: hahahahhaa

Notes to take from this game: Stick to a two man striker formation. Keep Ricky up the pitch, keep Cambi out, move Taider or Kova into that slot when ready.

Mr. Bandwagon, a quick lesson in football. There is a thing where you deliberately play defensive one half, and attack with full force in the second (sometimes even with the same set of players). There is a thing called fatigue and also injuries, that can fuck up a lot of things if not checked correctly. So sometimes u cannot have the best team outted there. Mazzarri knows that, Strama didn't.

Will we do FIF Ratings for matches still? I remember the rules saying to wait at least 12 hours after a game to post them......

I was just pissed off because I was tired and could barely stay awake with the football we were playing. Instead I fell asleep at halftime and missed the second half :yao2:

You in NZ?

I had to sleep at like 9pm to get up at like 4 to watch the game...

Shittest timezone tbh.

Actually I'm currently in China. So a all together better timezone, but still not great considering the game started at midnight. I just had a long day and it's hot as fuck where I am which doesn't help.

New Zealand is literally the worst place in the world for watching Inter's games though

Mazzarri should be sacked.

Am I the only one on here who loved our first half display? So assured and calm, possession was almost singularly ours, tired the Genoa players and still tested the waters. The second half was more frantic and could have easily been a different result on another day (against a different team).

The key is to find the balance that gets us the same assurance while still scoring goals. From an armchair manager's point of view, I still love the idea of Belfodil-Palacio for their mobility, but Mazzarri doesn't seem too keen on it since he never plays them together. I know for a fact that I don't like Icardi and Palacio together, they don't complement one another at all (if anything they get in each others' way a lot). We'll see what he does next anyway.

Overall I can say I'm satisfied with our match today.

We've completely dominated Genoa yet our finishing was quite poor.

On the plus side Campagnaro was one of our best and most reliable players, his signing on a free transfer is probably one of the highlights in this transfer window. Kovacic is awesome as always. Icardi had quite some presence in the box. Nagatomo and Alvarez kept running up and down their side non-stop (even if Alvarez creation forward was quite bad). Jonathan, whom I had very little expectations, was actually decent. Palacio is Palacio. Rano almost scored a head from miles away...

I'm really disapointed only with Cambiasso. Others played up or better than expectations.

We're still way off from playing at a level we'd like to see, but there certainly is an improvement to the brainfart back 3 of last season compared to now.

Johnny & Nagatomo as individual players aside, the way the wing backs are playing now is far better than last season. Evident from the first goal as you can clearly see how much more they penetrated the box. Both of them positioned themselves right into the box when the ball was on the opposite wing. This rarely ever happened last season.

good start, many positives, not many negatives. but that really was one of the weakest genoa sides i've seen in a while. they looked like a serie b team
